What turntables do you use? Pictures would be nice as well :-)

I'm a big fan from Audiosilente graphite mat with audiolabor "fest" clamp

Very cool.
Much more inner peace in the music, finer gradations of tone colors.
the bass has more punch overall cleaner audible.
For me one of my best buys.

I use the Audio Tekne CH-10 carbon mat. A huge improvement in sound quality. It’s 10mm thick so you need a longer spindle. You see I can just barely get an LP on. Not in the picture I do use a thin leather sheet on top also. I like it so much I’ve abandoned my TechDAS vacuum hold down and will eventually replace this table with something that has no vacuum and a longer spindle.

So, have you got something in mind already? What would you replace it with?

Sweet. How thick is the mat?
i have 6mm. available 6mm,8mm ,10mm. also 20mm thick, but it weighs 2.3kg and can be dangerous for some platter bearing.
they made also custom made mat

P.S the graphite headshells are really good too

Here is a real classic. The Linn LP 12
integrated in a classic environment with USM Rack and AS Phonolab. Its owner loves British design which he rounds off with Harbeth speakers. Besides music, he is a lover of British literature, which is evident from his tall bookshelves. I love this puristic attitude.

My kind of vinylphile. Flipping lp a lot so no record weight on practical reason. :)

The Kuzma Stabi R wood (Sorane Arm, Phasemation cart) is now connected to the RCM Big Phono.
50kg turntable plus 35kg Phonostage in a heavy duty rack :)

Hi Tang

I have record weights including a nice Furutech, but prefer the sound naked on all my tables.
To add for me, life is too short to be screwing on and unscrewing clamps just to be able to spin vinyl. One reason why I never really gelled with the Monaco turntable I babysat for 3 months.

Do you use record weights / clamps?

I suppose it's table dependent, but I agree no time to fiddle too much. With the STST Motus II I have the matching weight but I only use it on not so good sounding records ( seems to calm down shrill elements )

Half of the times don't. I use record weight that came with my AS2000. When play 927 I don't use any. When I do, it is for flattening the record and a psychological thing. I do hear different sounds using different record weights though.

yea, no doubt record weights and clamps make a difference in sound. becoming more open and alive generally is not one of them thou. :)

because of the copper platter mat on the SP10mk3, flat records are a must - not so much on the other 3. Assume the same with your SS top of the AS2000.

I have Orb DF-02 record flattener that I use for any warped/dished records - extremely handy now as many new releases are dished. my best hifi purchase .
