Keyplayer what clamp is that? Did you try the kuzma clamp? Also have you tried different ac cords? They do make a difference.

This is the Kuzma Ebony Clamp.
I only try the small Kuzma Brass clamp.
The ebony is better! You can use it from both sides and both sounds a bit different.

For Power I use a sheeld power cord with an Omtec Power Controller in front.

That Kuzma ebony clamp now retails at $1866 in the USA. The "standard" Kuzma Stabi R clamp retails at $525. (Although the Stabi R does not ship with a clamp it's an option).

Thx Lagonda - actually the clamp is ebony or African Blackwood - I’m not sure who made it.
it is a famous shun mook clamp made from gabon ebony. an authentic shun mook is most probably the best sounding clamp with a 6K price tag and this one looks authentic. I haven't heard any clamp sounding close or better than a shun mook.

Mine isn’t shun Mook, it’s simply a record weight- no locking mechanism - made by a wood turner.

I guess my eyes are as bad as my ears, it looked like shiny metal too me !:rolleyes:
