What's Spinning Tonight?

Staying with the ladies today (for now anyway).

Dido - No Angel ...one the best efforts on Clarity Vinyl that Classic Records put out. Lusciously luscious! :)

Tonight....th.jpeg I like this LP, although there seems to be a digital sheen to it that somehow intrudes on my enjoyment.

and on the Music Matters Blue Note reissue label....th-1.jpeg

Great all round sound and performance.

I was very late to Bowie. It was Tin Machine that first caught my ear, but since then I've never been less than astounded at how restlessly inventive he was as an artist, musician and co-producer of his work. I had listened to the single a couple of times last year and it truly stunned me just how forceful his vision was, even for someone who had never seemed to take comfort in the past.

Today, with his passing, this seems to be the very least I could do.

Listening to this again... Man, "Lazarus" is ripping my heart out. Ugh.

Mirrored is one of my all-time favourite albums, and much prefer it to La Di Da Di. Really love EP C and B EP, too. Kinda ambivalent about Gloss Drop.

Not exactly spinning as it is off a SSD but Hamilton & Hamilton Live at Bern. Scott Hamilton and the Jeff Hamilton Trio making beautiful music together. Not really live but a studio album. Excellent sonics. 16/44.1 from Qobuz.
