What's Spinning Tonight?

That word [Vinyl] wasn't there before. It would have made an impact on me too from five years ago.
...And on all the other members who listen to CDs and hi-res music files occasionally, and right from the very beginning on the first page...the first ten posts by the first ten posters/members.

Methinks that last night "edit" by Tom confused you early this morning, and it confused me too (reading your post, and finally realized the object of your own confusion). Methinks that Tom should have left Myles's post alone.
You don't change the smooth flow of life by changing stuff from over five years ago. ...You just don't; it not only confused you but many of us. I don't blame you.

I don't want to assume anything, and that's exactly why I asked Tom honestly and straight. Tom is the one who knows best.

Haven't had a Miles marathon in awhile.
This will take a good day or two per set.

In a Silent Way complete cd's
These IMHO show a nice progression from 'Filles' thru poly-rhthyms to early 'Brew'(fusion)

Hello and good evening to you gentlemen. I went ahead and took the "vinyl" part out. I usually put a lot of thought into changes but apparently I failed to do so last night. Please accept my apologies for the confusion. 853guy, it was my way of saying "thank you" to Myles. ;)

Tom

Miles has such a large baggage of music recordings, history, playing on other artist's albums...he's the greatest trumpeter to ever walk the face of this Earth. ...In a silent kind of way.
It would take a lifetime or ten to walk through his shoes and listen to everything he played.

Somewhere there is a Miles Davis album for each person on Earth. ...The guy was simply a king of kings.

I want to see the film about him...the latest... Miles Ahead

In melancholy mood due to illness in family so spent a couple of soothing hours with Ms. Charlyn Marie of Cat Power.

Dave's 'Alone Together' again

His recordings have never been able to capture his performing presence or energy. IMHO, of course. He can sure play that harp.

I ran into him when I was selling some guitar amps at a guitar shop a couple of years ago. Seemed like a nice guy. My sister in law, who doesn't know a stranger gave him a hug. He then proceeded to give an impromptu performance right on the sidewalk.
