What's Spinning Tonight?

Luke Steel - Listen to the Water. Debut solo album from Perth's Luke Steel. Nothing like his work with Empire of the Sun. If you remember his work with The Sleepy Jackson , it's more towards that. Acoustic guitar based slowburn with beautifully layed background synths. Sound quality is very good, mastered by BG.
Wonderful album

I've listened to this probably 300+ times over the past 30 years on various versions of my system in different rooms. NOT ONCE have I ever felt like I got physically transported to the actual recording venue where this unplugged concert took place... Until tonight!

My current system, and the recent integration of these GIK Acoustics panels in this room, played at near life-like volume levels as if being in the audience, I sat here the entire time with my eyes closed and a giant smile on my face. That is, when my jaw wasn't on the floor instead!

Wow!!

I forgot how good these album was. I just literally shook the entire house with the first track... Twice, just for good measure! LOL

If you have some good subs that reach DEEP, listen to the first track (Tiger) and you'll know what I'm talking about. It comes in strong towards the end.
