What's Spinning Tonight?

Rolling Stones – Hackney Diamonds - brand new album. GZ have done an excellent job with the pressing, however it's pressed all the way to the inside label, so please ensure your cartridge is set up correctly so it tracks those inner grooves with confidence. Packaging is excellent with a nice gatefold and poly lined inner sleeves.

Sound quality is good, not great as it it's compressed to the schiit but Matt @Metropolis mastering does his best to give it a bit more dynamics. Producer Andrew Watt also produced the latest Iggy Pop album released earlier in 2023 - similar sound with the Stones album a bit more detailed but a little more fatiguing

Mick's vocals are very good as is Keef's guitar. You can certainly tell the slight difference between Charlie ( RIP) and Steve Jordan's drumming - Jordan a bit fuller, not quite as tight as Charlie's.
Musically, this is a superb Stones album. Most of the album rocks hard which is a surprise for me and hard to believe these are a bunch of 80 year olds!!

Dope Lemon – Kimosabè - funny how some albums just take a while before BOOM, you get it and it just clicks. After around 6 listens, it has just clicked. Equally as enjoyable as Angus's first 3 albums
