What's Spinning Tonight?

Continuing my exploration of the blues with the wonderful Orbis 90-CD compilation. Up right now is the rock-blues hybrid musician Albert King, who manages to combine the best of mournful “life sucks” refrain of the blues with the bouncy rhythms of rock and roll.

For some reason, I've always loved soundtracks, more or less.
Today's challenge has been the soundtrack (made by Solar Fields) from Mirror's Edge Catalyst.
All gamers probably know the video game, I didn't until a good friend pointed out the music.
Anyway, it's a tough task to finish listening... it's more than 5 hours of music.

@Johan K : hopefully this should suit you ?

And everyone else who also likes ambient eletronica :)

This music has to be played in surround mode to fully appreciate all the sounds and noices coming from all directions in the audioroom☝;) .. In surround mode, you become part of this ambient music in a way which in stereo mode is not possible. It feels like this music is carry you on to a journey into space… Into a world - far and far away from here…

The bass is tight and full, and deep as an abyss. The ambient midrange is ever so airy and big, taking you to distant places in the unkown universe… The high end tones is so clear and brilliant that you can touch them, without ANY feel of being sharp or edge’y… so cool… This really made my day…

Cheers guys:cool:..

Did find a youtube clip of ”19” with Paul Hardcastle… I did put it up here for a second or two, but decided to delete it… To many bad memories for so many, so not very nice to publish here… If anybody would like to hear it, I suggest you watch it directly on youtube.

Listening to the great Teddy Wilson, famous jazz pianist from the 1930s who was part of the legendary Benny Goodman Trio. Such a treat to hear these old mono vinyl records remastered on the Time-Life series with their fabulous booklet with the lovely black and white photographs of location shoots and every track annotated with copious information about when it was recorded and why. Who does this type of release anymore? Now it’s all thrown under the streaming bus!
