What's Spinning Tonight?

Wow - talk about contrast!! I’m impressed of all the genres you do listen to, but this one was not my cup of tea. I was however very impressed by the sound quality.. Well done Shane @XV-1 ;) !

The Fixx – Reach The Beach - one of my fave albums when released in 83. Loved it so much, I had my then GF paint the cover onto canvas - still have it.

That is a fine record and, in my opinion, an underrated band. Not a huge fan of the new wave genre in its day but the Fixx wrote excellent hook filled songs (One Thing Leads to Another, Saved by Zero). One of the gems of the 80's new wave scene. Thanks for mentioning it, I am going to clean it up and give it a listen.

Hi Shane @XV-1 ,

Streaming GusGus - Mexico right now.. To be honest, I have to say this is even better than the ”Mobile Home” album in my opinion.

Not as weird mid bass as the M H album, and a lots of VERY nice cool electronic loops, keeping this Mexico album flowing like never before… so cool… ..!!!

Got to get this one on vinyl as well☝:p!!

Great version of Chick Corea’s Windows. Fast pace. Great version of Freddie Hubbard’s Red Clay.
Jack died not too long ago. He was a genius without doubt.

This used to be available on Prime in CD resolution, but I don’t see it tonight. It’s never been available on Qobuz. That’s a big advantage of vinyl. I have quite a few records that are not offered in high quality on any streaming services.
