You posted this below to a question that Emile had answered. Emile had answered the questions and you said "their response". Who exactly were you referring to if not Emile?
If the product is good, they would keep making them and even make improvements to the product. Their response of "economically unviable" is a deceptive way of saying the product is a fraud. I wish they were more honest.
Would you kind enough to give us a better answer ? Many people have liked the product. A block of wood with a cut out for a circuit and battery does not seem to warrant an acute economic burden.
We have larger and costlier CNC machines with more advanced air filtration systems, higher maintenance and personnel cost. The economics on it no longer work.
We may also at some point in the near future either discontinue our Daiza platforms or restrict them to owners of our servers for the same reasons.

Honestly Tarquineuus, why do you think that ANY manufacturer owes ANY explanation on a business decision to a non-customer on a public forum, especially the way you asked your question?
I'm not speaking for Emile, he was kind enough to answer your question. If it was me and my company that you slandered as you did, I would have pushed harder to have you evicted from the forum.
There are countless manufacturers who discontinue a product because it is not economically feasible to continue making it let alone supported.
I don’t feel Emile is saying anything in a deceptive fashion. To me it’s quite simple.....Emile’s goal and long term plan is to produce the very best server in the marketplace. To mill those large pieces for his server makes those CNC machines work overtime which thus precludes his ability or desire to make these other products.
Lets move on Tarquineous as the question has been asked and answered.
2 Setchi D1 with spade
1 Setchi D2 USB
1Setchi D2 banana
While I still have a lot of work to do setting things up after relocation,
I would like to ask for your recommendations of their optimal use with my stuff.
Having read too much Roy Gregory, a CAD usb control will most probably grace the service usb socket of my CH P L1.
D1 spade or D2 usb for CH P A1.5?
I remember having read subwoofers beeng a good target for Setchis: D1spade on my REL?
D2 banana into ground screw of Stromtank S2500 Q MkII?
D2 usb for Taiko Extreme?
Thx for your advice, as there are so many variations thinkable to go completely bonkers.
First effort with Setchis didn’t do much.
I prepared for a disappointment.
Then I took out the run of the mill batteries. Some 7.5 Volt most of them.
I ordered a few of the fabled Lithium batterie and put them in.
Setchi D2 usb into my t+a SD 3100 hv dac
D1 spade on Stromtank and on REL 31 ( both at some chassis screw connected to ground)
D2 banana on CH Precision A1.5 amp.
This … was pretty astonishing.
Depth, layering, 3D much improved. Dynamics, bass.
Initially aggressive highs returned to normal after some time.
A frequency test run showed a rattle: Setchi on REL subwoofer made a little step dance.
The screws for the battery lid on Setchis protrude a bit over the panzerholz surface, maybe intentionally.
Should I rather
- place a small sand bag on the Setchi?
- put some adhesive putty between Setchi and REL subwoofer?
- place screws in the recessed lines on top of the REL not to marr it’s surface?

I have a few Setchi 2’s that I had packed away since a recent move that I am going to reintroduce to my current system.
They all have rca connectors and I’m wondering if there are any issues if I reterminate?
Has anyone tried using three UNDERNEATH a component to double up as isolation?
I may even sacrifice one of them and disassemble/cut open so we can understand what the technology is.
So NO putty between Setchi & Rel, correct?
I think I will have to use something on the Setchi, a bag of sand, something heavy.
What did you do to prevent Setchis moving or rattling on top of subwoofers?
