Zero Distortion: Visit to Rhapsody Dallas

yes and Kaguras should be played on the Alsyvox. Next time.
I can't play my Kaguras on the Alsyvox as they are on different flloors, but one of my favorite set ups is my Ongaku on the Botticelli X, which I do play often. It doesn't have the slam of the SS amps, but for me it is sublime. The Kaguras would be ideal with twice the power. Chris can do that easily as the Kaguras and the Alsyvox are in the same room, just on opposite ends of the room.

My Silvaweld phonostage uses these tubes...great sound!
If I remember correctly it's a pretty similar circuit. silvaweld uses fet for mc stage and kondo uses sut. yes, the five star GE tubes are exceptional. use them in my modified silvaweld swc 450.
high resolution without getting on your nerves, very nice realistic colors. not too fat in the bass. The best 6072 i have.other brands westinghouse, HP and Beckmann are close to them.come from the same house General Electric.

Yes, a fet for the MC gain. I think the Silvaweld uses actually a more sophisticated power supply as it is all fully tube rectified and regulated...I think the Kondo is unregulated. It might actually be the same tube circuit for the MM part.
Mine are branded National but they are probably GE...

To my ears the RCA 211 valves sound in combination with the Kagura’s clearly better than the GE 211 tubes.
Tricky to find an RCA 211 let alone four.
Seriously considering new production Molybdenum ANs or Elrog Mayers when my current set need changing.

Agree 100% but in a pinch the GE's are still a whole lot better than new 211's. I use the RCA's but have some GE's as back ups.
Bob, you really don't like new production 211s?
I'm seriously considering ANs or Elrog Mayers in a few years, because GEs will be so hard to find, let alone almost unobtanium RCAs.

haven’t heard those two myself but know someone who did those compares, he still favoured the old ones.

But hey on Zus it wouldn’t matter.

Acousticsguru has the AN ones in his Line Magnetic AS125...ask him about them...he says they are really good.

I guess no one else hears the issues that I raised with the videos? This is what a great videos of classical music should sound like:

Of course, you don't actually put tubes on spkrs.

Good to get a non garbled response, unlike some others here.

Yeah, I will be buried with my Silvaweld SWH-650.

Thank you for letting us know. In this case, may I give your Concero 65s a good home?

I spent the time to compare the various videos and I found your comment about the issues you hear from Ked's videos pretty interesting. There is certainly a very different presentation/sound from Ked's Diesis videos and yours here. Spatial information, interplay between instruments is very different. Other differences too. Perhaps you could record the same music for a more direct comparison.

I do not know if there is much interest in getting into the weeds with close analysis of videos though.

If you listen to the two videos of my systems that I posted and then go back and listen to Bonzo’s videos, the differences in texture and the interplay of the musical voices in the sound is pretty apparent. Shockingly so.

No, I will not record those songs. Bob has a phone and recording devices. If he thinks that Bonzo’s videos mischaracterized the sound of these very expensive systems then he can record my songs on his Diesis/Kondo system or on any other of his finest sounding systems to showcase the distinguished sound of his very expensive systems.
