Lyra Erodion SUT

Hi Gian: The Erodion's rear panel is equipped with a grounding switch, and instructions on the purpose of each grounding switch position should be inside the user's manual. Experimenting with the switch may provide a little more sonic transparency.
Also, instead of connecting the ground leads of your turntable and tonearm to the Erodion, and the ground of the Erodion to the phono stage, could you try connecting the ground leads of your turntable and tonearm and Erodion directly to the phono stage?
Alternatively, in some systems it may be possible to connect the ground leads of your turntable and tonearm to the phono stage, and leave the Erodion ungrounded.
In a high resolution system, altering the grounding of the Erodion should result in clear changes to the sound.

Hi Squasher: We don't dictate to our distributors which Lyra product they should carry, or not - such business decisions are left to the discretion of each distributor.

Actually, I have sent a couple of emails to lyra@audioquest.com within the last week and haven't received any response yet...
I just want to provide more info on the Erodion in case anyone in the US cares...
According to a voicemail I received from Audioquest (the US distributor for Lyra), they have never imported it into the US market from Japan. He went on to say that he "wasn't even sure that it was supported anymore".

My friend with Atlas Lambsa sl has New Erodion
I tried at home with CH L1 and Atlas lambda SL
I preferred in MC in CH L1,MM with Erodion was good and dynamic but little roll off and little dark,so in my system i prefer without

That’s why a SUT should have a non-detachable cable with the same material that transformers are wound IMHO.
Agree. In my opinion, the entire chain from cartridge clips to MM phono (headshell leads, inner cable, tonearm cable, SUT, SUT cable) should be made from the same material or cable.
We can extend this list to include cartridge coils, and all the inner wires, capacitors, resistors, transformers, power cords, interconnects, and connectors within all components. This is how I believe an audio setup should be, and this is how my friends and I build our audio setups.
If it’s right, you don’t need flexibility. and bye-bye to flexibility......
Just like going higher in quality and omitting flexibility like bass, treble, and loudness controls on high-end amplifiers.

The Kuzma tonearms I had were like that - continuous from cartridge to phono stage input or SUT.
I used the 4point with an Atlas to a Red Erodian, then Ypsilon phono. Used an Audience AU 24 SX cable from Erodian to VPS100 worked very well.
