New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

We are presently at LAX waiting for our flight to Mexico. Getting here before sunrise the entire airport was lit in purple and gold.
tough loss last night but you could see they were playing with their hearts rather than their brains and Lillard simply crushed them last night. I expect the Lakers to begin to fall from first in the west

Clippers beat the Timberwolves last night.

Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Patrick Beverly all returned to the lineup and played

having said that it was good to see the Lakers get a win over the Kings

Here in Mexico there are so many locals who are out and about all wearing Lakers Purple and Gold with number 24

The loss of Kobe is truly felt around the world

Last week Utah was the hottest team in the west and was in second place but have lost 4 in a row since. The big news is Lillard who annihilated the Lakers on Friday night at Staples and last night he scores 51. Portland is back in it. There is so little wiggle room between the top 6 teams that a win or a losss by any tea can change the standings dramatically

At the game on Friday against the Blazers I wondered where was melo?

I just heard that he was so devastated by the death of Kobe, who was one of his best friends, that he couldn't muster the strength over emotion and couldn't even come to Staples. Turns out Kobe had texted Melo the night before he died and told him that he would see him at the game next week""

What a travesty that Iggy has sat the entire season......

Will Iguodala get dealt?
In case you forgot, the Memphis Grizzlies acquired former Finals MVP Andre Iguodala in early last summer via a trade with the Golden State Warriors. Since then, he basically hasn't been around the Grizzlies as they've sought to trade him. Keith Smith of Yahoo Sports reports that as much as Memphis may be hoping to trade Iguodala, they may have to settle for buying him out instead.

I'm shocked the Rockets would shop Capela.......

Report: Rockets shopping Capela
The Houston Rockets have not been shy in recent seasons about pulling the trigger on a trade in hopes of reaching The Finals. It appears that perhaps Clint Capela could be dealt before the Feb. 6 deadline in hopes of helping Houston achieve that goal. Per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Rockets are shopping Capela in trades with Eastern Conference teams -- particularly three-way trades that might allow Houston to nab the draft assets to get an impact wing player.

This is the game to watch this week......

Can't-Miss Matchups: Giannis Antetokounmpo vs. Zion Williamson
Clash of versatile forwards among this week's matchups to watch
Michael C. Wright NBA.com

We waited three months to finally see rookie sensation Zion Williamson in action, and on Tuesday we can catch see him match matched up with the reigning Kia MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo, at 7:30 p.m. ET on TNT.

The Williamson-Antetokounmpo clash headlines yet another week of matchups we can’t wait to see, but keep an eye out for battles between Rudy Gobert and Nikola Jokic as well as Jimmy Butler and Paul George

A Kia MVP candidate clashes with one of the league’s most exciting rookies. Keep an eye on Zion Williamson in this one as the Pelicans plan to make more of an effort to put the ball in his hands after the rookie was seemingly ignored at times in Sunday's loss to the Houston Rockets. Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said “that will never happen again.” Antetokounmpo, meanwhile, has produced 30 points or more in 26 games while racking up at least 10 rebounds in 23 of those outings.

I like Capela. Not only because he is Swiss.
I think he made big improvements with (and for!) the Rockets

I've heard those kinds of rumors before, Steve. And it's because the C's were in the talk. Now that would be a nice guy to have for the C's in the starting lineup.

I think Iggy literally got shafted. He had a great role with the GSW only to be put away in the closet by the Grizz

Well, I do not look up to players who suddenly become non-pros and decide to sit, and not honoring his contract.

Clippers and Spurs played a tightly contested and entertaining game at Staples tonight.

Fortunately the Clippers emerged on top 108 - 105, closing out the game with an 11 - 3 run

Clippers are managing to win games, no pun intended.
