One of my favorites. Nice song, nice little drum solo, nice kettle drum solo, and ending with nice guitar solo. Oh, and the coolest of endings.

Before I got my hands on this highly recommended DVD, I never really cared much for Queen. Queen Rock Montreal 1981 - first rate engineering for both video and audio. A Queen concert back then was supposedly state-of-the-art. I can believe that.

That was fun to look at the system and screen performance in the same system video. Here is a link to the same concert video over YouTube without the benefit of Stehno's system sound. The volume is bit lower than you get from Stehno's room. I agree, nice drum solo.

I wish i had AC/DC on tape , best rockband ever :p

The CD of Back in Black sounds awesome, even though cranking up the bass is beneficial. At least mine sounds awesome, don't know about more recent remasterings.

On the other hand, the sound of The Razor's Edge (with the song Thunderstruck) sucks in comparison.

I thought it would be fun to do a You Tube video of a You Tube video.

I played it back through the Apogees before I uploaded it and it wasn't too bad. A bit muffled via the camera mic and no doubt the YT compression makes it worse still. But it should sound alright through a decent system.

In the flesh it is good but YT is a comprised source.

Recorded on a OnePlus 6 mobile phone. It's mono.

Ked I didn't use the Rowland. I nicked it's memory stick a while back and had forgotten where it was.

I did a Led Zep too. Will post later.

Nirvana, a nice period of time for that once great city. That's the cleanest I've heard Grunge sound. Very nice.
Thanks Peter, the horns doing rock and electronica also was part of the design goal. They still have a bit of grunge left in them. I’m aiming to get them to be involving at most every type of music. The maggies can outstep them in some criteria but the horns could easily (and happily) be my only speaker if needed.

The first video is sounding very good and better than the second one. Not sure if just a recording quality difference. Are they both recorded with the system in the same state, or at different times?

Same listening session, so must be recording quality.

Sounds good Brad! Is this using mini dsp into your dac as before?

Hi Bill,
THX! Yes, it is mini-DSP into two different DACs (Monarchy M24 to the horns and Metrum Octave to the Suprvox) and then each dac feeding a different amp (MasterSound Dueundici on Supravox and WLM Minueta on horns). I will be making some more recordings soon with new amps on the horns (300B derived from WE91 circuit updated by Thorsten Loesch) and with the other horn (with Beyma and also updated with the new Radian 475pbBe drivers).

Is sounding great Brad, it’s all coming together in that first track especially... lovely stuff, nice music as well. Looking forward to hearing more on the new radians as well.

Thx! I am quite happy with the sound now, although from some basic trials with the new amps, there is a fair bit more nuance to be had from the horns. I have to say that I am quite impressed with how good sounding this large Beyma driver is, despite people's claims that Ti is not the best diaphragm material due to the "hard" sound...with this driver there is no hardness whatsoever...same for the smaller Beymas that I currently have on the smaller horns. Let's see what the Radians bring to the party by comparison...how it matches with the horn is perhaps more important.

The sax is very continuous, nice tone. The drums are fast with no fat
