Best contemporary speaker under $100k for Lamm ML2.x type amplifiers?

I should write to the fellow to learn if he has any speakers or distribution in the US.

Without knowing more, they are a compelling consideration. As I believe I've commented, your own accounts, and videos of your speakers in play, are delightful - and your system is an embodiment of natural sound. As best I can gauge, exactly what I'm looking for to pair with Lamm electronics. I do have the available corners on a 16' wall. And I absolutely adore the mid-century look.

The reproduction CN191 is described as constructed of Scandinavian birch plywood with walnut veneer. It is explained to me that while drivers can be replaced it is the cabinetry that is key. Original wood and construction technique and materials cannot be replaced and even modern day repairs may imperil the original sound.

Do you know the wood used in your original? Do you know of anyone who has hear the reproduction?

Based solely on looks, I am also curious about the JBL Hartsfield.

Hi Tim. I am sorry but I do not know the wood used in my originals. The veneer is walnut and the rest is a combination of solid planks and plywood. I also do not know anyone who has heard the reproductions or what they cost.

I really enjoyed listening to this Youtube performance. Speakers sound nice over my MBPro...
It appears to be a vinyl recording being used...any idea which LP this is?

I don't know yet. The Hartsfield repro are from Classic Audio Loudspeakers. For those I'd look first at originals.

For what it's worth, I have some experience with the VOX Olympian, which also uses Vitavox drivers. The Olympian are, of course, a bit more expensive than $100K. They are usually partnered with Kondo electronics, since Kevin Scott, the designer, is also the importer for Kondo in the UK. I invested with several people in a pair of the Olympian with the Elysian bass units several years ago. I demonstrated the speaker system with Lamm ML3 to a potential customer, and it was the best sound I have heard from the system, better than the Kondo amps IMHO. The Lamm has a more neutral sound, with better transparency, imaging, dynamics and transients. I am also using the field coil drivers from Classic Audio. The 4" mid-range and the 15" bass units. I must say field coils are the way to go. The dynamics and the tonality of the drivers are wonders to behold. For that, it is worth getting the reproduction Hartsfield, unless you are an antique collector and want to have the original for that purpose.

One of the secrets that Kevin uses for his Munich demos is putting all the electronics on battery power. Did you guys try that?

I have visited Kevin twice at Long Eaton. On both occasions, he used his battery supply. I thought the first time, the sound was extraordinary, but I did not feel the same magic the second time. I don't know why. We did not use the battery supply, but only a power conditioner supplied by one of my dealer friends. We also had the CAD ground boxes, which the HK Living Voice importer also represents.

This is from the same channel where you pointed out that day the sound was probably enhanced artificially because the counter on the Cd player was not moving. All her videos are like that
