Oh Oh …. HaaaHaaaa … A pedler of another’s work is no Guru … Could you point me toward any thread containing Karmeli’s Guru SET design and engineering work ?
Waiting on your link to Karmeli’s theoretical and design white paper on this subject ? …

The ghost of DDK still rules! Maybe this thread should be called 'The Haunting'.

His customers will continue to receive the extraordinary advice and service. WBF is not necessary for any of that.

You were offended by some of his mean posts. He’s now gone. Why revel in his departure and continue to denigrate him? I don’t get that.

David Karmeli is a good friend to many here. Why are you insulting their friend, and in such a public way?

Peter,

As you and several others, I regretted that David left the forum, although I was often disagreeing with him and had to support his offensive and bickering style many times. He represented a significant faction in stereo sound reproduction that is not represented elsewhere in audio forums. But I must say that your post, concerning someone who frequently insulted and misrepresented people most of the members of this forum respect or even are friends, looks like you are trying to extinguish a fire with petrol.

I am trying to support my friend who continues to be denigrated long after he has left and can not respond. One member even celebrated his departure in the very first sentence of his new system thread. What is that even about? This is Tang's system thread which is about his enthusiasm for this great hobby and his approach to reproducing music, and people come here to attack the guy who advised Tang and created his turntable and new speakers. This is wrong.

He can log in and respond anytime he wants too. He just has to abide by the rules while hawking his wares on this website for free.

Jeff, that is inaccurate. Steve admitted that he disabled David’s account. David was not notified nor was the panel of monitors or the other owner. David‘s password was changed and he cannot respond or defend himself.

I now realize that there is no membership privacy when owners can login and change signatures and passwords. This is what happened to David without notification and against his wishes.

can we all just calm down and stop with this negative stuff? nothing positive comes from it. honestly it makes me sick to read it. from both sides. and i was as much a target for David as anyone, but using Tang's thread to grind away is pathetic. i do hope David and Tang return, and we can re-boot somehow.

not trying to moderate here, just appealing to our better selves hopefully.

....wisely put!
I thought the average WBF member had better judgement, but must admit I´m disappointed at the level of "discussion" presented here
may it be envy...or loss of face

You may not be aware but this website is probably the most liberal for "hawking wares" there is... as long as you aren't spamming/harassing and it's kept civil.

The owner is a dealer. WBF has supported the industry and vice versa since the beginning.

Absolutely agree. And it you can just follow some simple rules, you can hawk away. It's an amazing resource for people with small businesses.

This is that individuals marketing web site ;)
I think you could label that on any manufacturer / dealer willing to participate in any forum. It's up to the reader to discern what is marketing and what isn't. At least it is a two way conversation, which I think can be valuable, particularly for products that do not have widespread YT / magazine reviews etc. Personally I appreciate the industry being represented here.

Yes, and the happy owners of the turntables are doing a great job describing it and its sound quality ! Totally unsolicited ! :) Do you think Peter, Tang or Christian are getting a kick back or are sellers making a profit on selling equipment, like so many others on WBF. Half the people "describing" Wilson or Aries Cerat are sellers/dealers !;)
I've been giving medical lectures, conferences and meetings for decades. Our governing bodies always insist on including a slide in each talk showing full disclosure of financial relationships. (My favorite speakers were always the folks whose slides said something like "Unfortunately, nothing to disclose"!) The WBF isn't that much different even though there is not quite as rigorous a disclosure policy in place in order to post. However most of us know who does or doesn't have genuine conflicts of interest, whether they are declared in their signatures or not. This doesn't seem like much of an issue to me.
