Yes there are several that are better, in some areas. A car isn't just about 0-100 times and charging / range stats which is where the Tesla excels - and yes, I love these aspects probably like you do. Some will value these things more than other areas, and others won't. It's all personal and all I'm trying to offer is a balanced view on where the Tesla is good and not so good, from MY perspective. I've talked about where the Tesla has weaknesses from my experience - the other brand I've had the most exposure to so far is BMW having driven their EV’s a few times now and they are better in the areas I've pointed out above for Tesla listed as cons. Yes, the BMW costs more, but it is obvious why. Watch the recent EV car reviews/comparisons and you'll soon see which ones the reviewers are rating and how they compare with the Tesla.C
id still like you to name one. You kept saying there are several Which makes and in what areas are they better. I’ve owned Porsche and Mercedes my entire life and loved them. However at gas prices in California of $6 per gallon we have never looked back. Finally I never lease. I only buy. I rarely sell my cars so if you can beat no car payments and no electricity payments I say go for it. For my wife and I, we couldn’t be happier. I still want to know which make and model is ahead of Tesla. Finally I’m not into racing but try putting your Porsche up against a Tesla from a standing start You’re going to lose. A neighbor here just took delivery of the Cyber truck trimotor The
Beast . It does 0-60 in 2.6 secs and probably weighs 3x what the Porsche weighs. I agree it is a learning experience but for us in SoCal we will never go back to ICE
