I was only joking. If people wanted to hold everyone feet to the fire over whether they have a gain or not, there would be nothing to discuss. You've been asking a lot of questions...
And besides, till analog can beat digital, why buy a TT.

Thanks @PeterA for sharing info about new AN turntable. After reading 9 pages of this thread and others related with this one I ended up with one conclusion:
If you write in an authoritative, confident way in threads and end all arguments by condescending others with a commanding tone (SME 3012R is the best) instead of reasonably and technically explaining why then you have followers. If you have resources to add certain products to your résumé and spent enough time together you can even write more confidently and get followers looking for a guide even after you left the forum. And the outcome is; you can sell your products!
Another arrow is launched. Again.
And to ddk. An astounding, over the top effort on your part. I truly admire your passion and commitment to advancing the "art" of the analogue playback system. Best.
Maybe he found it’s not all fans but some questioners. Finally, I wonder why ddk jumped off the WBF ship. Probably because he found this forum too friendly, respectful and non judgemental.
OMA vs AS , contact Dana make it happen..!
One explanation but he knew that going in and has years of hstory with WBF. The more likely scenario is that encounters occurred that precipitated his departure. But, like you, this is pure speculation on my part based on posts I've seen.Maybe he found it’s not all fans but some questioners.
Pictures or you didn't hear it....@mtemur wrote about DDK having left this Forum, "Maybe he found it’s [ this forum ] not all fans but some questioners."
MTemur, are you acquainted with Mr Karmeli? With all respect due, I would submit that you do Not know DDK; if you Did, you would understand that he, among all the people I have met or known, in audio and elsewhere, is as interested in the spirit of true inquiry as anyone.
For your consideration ( and I believe it safe to say you have not yet heard The Absolute Nothing, is that accurate? ) how could someone create an object of such remarkable purpose, distinction and singular performance ( Yes, I Have heard it ) if the spirit of inquiry —which inevitably includes dissenters and detractors— were not at the epicenter of their value system?
Looking forward to your response.

Well, that didn't age well...Pictures or you didn't hear it....
You must be joking. cdk84 and I met David Karmeli, set up the turntable in the first customer’s home and listened to it together. We both have lots of photographs of the turntable but likely not of each other in the listening chairs.
That is the back of ddk’s head and cdk84’s right knee and hand. Cdk84 is in the bottom photo with the headband light guiding the 300 lbs platter in place.
