Good morning WBF!

We are introducing the culmination of close to 4 years of research and development. As a bona fide IT/tech nerd with a passion for music, I have always been intrigued by the potential of leveraging the most modern of technologies in order to create a better music playback experience. This, amongst others, led to the creation of our popular, perhaps even revolutionary, Extreme music server 5 years ago, which we have been steadily improving and updating with new technologies throughout its life cycle. Today I feel we can safely claim it's holding its ground against the onslaught of new server releases from other companies, and we are committed to keep improving it for years to come.

We are introducing a new server model called the Olympus. Hierarchically, it positions itself above the Extreme. It does provide quite a different music experience than the Extreme, or any other server I've heard, for that matter. Conventional audiophile descriptions such as sound staging, dynamics, color palette, etc, fall short to describe this difference. It does not sound digital or analog, I would be inclined to describe it as coming closer to the intended (or unintended) performance of the recording engineer.

Committed to keeping the Extreme as current as possible, we are introducing a second product called the Olympus I/O. This is an external upgrade to the Extreme containing a significant part of the Olympus technology, allowing it to come near, though not entirely at, Olympus performance levels. The Olympus I/O can even be added to the Olympus itself to elevate its performance even further, though not as dramatic an uplift as adding it to the Extreme. Consider it the proverbial "cherry on top".

Emile, in an earlier post, you said the power cable to the Olympus would not be as crucial as that for the Extreme, but would still register a small difference. This being so, is the fuse for the Olympus conveniently located at the rear for its removal and replacement? And what would be its rating?

Thank you! - kevin

Thanks, rau! : ) - please tell where your picture came from? And does the power cable plug in on the left or right of the rear? In the picture, it appears to be left.

All good, I just saw in earlier pictures, it’s on the left : )

What is this BMS??? Oh never mind, Battery Management. Now We only need the Olympus...
Indeed, the BMS app's initial main use is for Battery Management. But it will also incorporate other convenience features, applicable to other parts of the server. More details will follow as soon as I have gained some personal experience with the app and the server, which will be very soon!

Can this app be the handshake that auto updates software in the O?

I do not have specific details to share at this stage, but we are looking into all the possibilities to use this app to make operating, accessing, and updating the servers as easy and reliable as possible.

BMS is a secret program that Taiko has been working on for years. It stands for "Bullshit Management System" With it, the user can set it to automatically ignore all future posts on audio things you never want to see or hear again such as:
-video compares
-discussion of digital vs analog
-the superiority of 17th re-issue of an LP you already have 16 copes of
-over-priced and over-rated tubes
-gear that you must have that only Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos can afford to buy
-endless posts of album covers without any information about what they like about the music

But the real genius of the program is that you can set it to filter out non-audio BS such as:
-what Taylor Swift is wearing at a Chief's game
-text message requests for donations from politicians you have never heard of
-what students are protesting this week on college campuses
-which crypto currency you must own
-why you don't deserve to live unless you drive an electric vehicle

Once people figure out how truly useful the BMS program is, it will become indispensable!

Well then, it's obviously not working yet!

Hi there, Emile/christiaan, I’m following up on an earlier question I posted for Emile that got lost in the mix - might you be able to reveal what the fuse ratings for the Olympus and I/O are? Thanks much! - kevin
