“Examining the Criticism: Is Synergistic Research Unfairly Singled Out in the High-End Audio Industry?”

Tom,

Tom say what you like. Your observations, objective or ad hominem opens your perspective to debate. But no one can say Synergistic Research is less valid than any other company in our space.

There are no cable or accessory companies offering conclusive scientific white papers to prove why their products should sound better than anything else. There are no cable or accessory manufacturers, submitting their products for scientific scrutiny or peer review that proves subjective performance. And there are no consumers purchasing High End Audio cables or accessories based on measurements they take at home.

The entire High End cable and accessory industry is based on subjective performance. That’s how consumers analyze whether or not they want to keep something, if they’re allowed to even take something home at all. Again, consumers are not basing their High End Audio purchases based on measurements they take at home. So either consumers can try something at home before they buy, or they must listen at the dealer, and if it doesn’t work out at home, too bad, so sad.

The entire High End audio industry is based on subjective performance. That’s how consumers analyze whether or not they want to keep something. Facilitating in-home auditions, with the option to return SR to your dealer is the ultimate proof of performance. And while most of my competitors are going backwards in sales, our sales are accelerating almost exponentially at this point.

'the entire High End audio industry is based on subjective performance' ???

LMAO, perhaps for the 'audiophool' sector, as for those of us capable of understanding an objective point of view, nonsense !

objectively, how did you select the components, cables, speakers, and everything else that went into your system?

Measurements of course, capacitance, knowledge of OHM's law for cable selection. Impedance matching of pre-amp / line stage to amplifier, freq response and again impedance matching of one's speakers. But then I trust you knew all this, thus your 'baited question' !
And while you’re answering that question, what is in your system?

VPI > ARC > PASS > Revel

VPI > ARC > PASS > Revel

So you base your Cable selection on capacitance measurements? What’s that magic number by the way? Input and output impedance matching is handled by going with a loom of electronics from one manufacturer— or am I missing something? And you have Revel speakers and Pass Lab gear. Am I understanding you correctly? This is your system? Which Revel speakers? Which Pass Labs electronics? Which cables? Can we see photos? How is this a scientific approach to system building?

From what I can ascertain, there are two primary groups on this forum: those with close ties to the industry and actual end-user audiophiles, my friends and customers. The former is where the vitriol comes from and proves my original supposition. The latter is who I will be appealing to in the weeks and months to come. By asking the question about the blatant double standards and logical fallacies, which are clear and evident, I have gained insight that I will respectfully address going forward.

My intention is to share ideas and have fun with actual audiophiles. I’ll leave the industry politics to everyone else.

So anyone who either disagrees with you, doesn't prefer your products , or doesn't find your messaging tact appealing isn't an audiophile ; and is also involved in some grand conspiracy against your company. Pretty pathetic and simultaneously arrogant take.

Let me help you out Teddy Bear,

Ones subjective experience is not a reliable indicator of objective reality ...........

Do you like the way your stereo sounds?

Also, second time asking. Which Revel speakers? Which Pass Labs electronics, and what cables? A picture of your system will put your perspective, in perspective.

Hi Teddy .

Looking at your profile picture, I saw a cable necklace lol.
It looked like Nordost to me, is it original or fake?

Just kidding.

By the way, I have two pairs Ics SR Tesla Apex and loudspeaker cable

After some experiments I found a better balance with an A23 cable in my Shindo Labs system.

The most expensive cable is not always the best.
