I have been using the Apogee Duet original silver firewire 400 since 2007 on my older Mac. I would love to be able to continue to use it with my new Mac Mini M1 along with the latest Logic Pro. I have found the proper adapter to connect from Firewire 400 to 800 (which I have as an input on the back of my apple monitor). Before I get too far into this I'm just curious if anybody can confirm that this will actually work, software and hardware wise. Thanks!

I doubt it frankly-- Firewire is persona no grata nowadays--I tried what you are doing with my backup HD's FW to my 020 Mack book Pro( USB-C)
had all the "correct" coupling leads and none of them worked.
Yes I know the Apogee Products--I've seen and heard them with Joe Cali at Cello from the wonderfull mind of the late Bruce Jackson.

Good luck,
BruceD
