Aries Cerat Genus SET 25 watts integrated amplifier - on order

Will have the Genus on demo at the Dallas Southwest Audio show along will a lot of AC gear next march. Would be worth the trip

Not to resurrect an old thread, but I just ordered my Genus today from Eric at Unlimited Audio. Very excited but nervous since its such an expense. I will be using this as a headphone amp (I currently have a Viva Egoista 845). VERY excited to hear the change. Hopefully, I will have it by the end of next week!

The source chain will be: Innuos Phoenix NET network switch > Naim ND555/555PSDR > AC Helene > AC Genus

813 version. I was told that for my setup, it was a better tube choice. How do they differ?

My Concero 25s have the 813/814 and it's the tube used in the higher end AC amplifiers (non Ianus line). They went to the 845 on the lower line to save supplies of the 813/814 tubes I was told. The distributor prefers the 813/814 as he believes they are purer in their sonics and generally only imports those. He had to convince Stravos to do it for him.

Congrats on the Helene->Genus combo. It's a giant killer combo.
Isn't the Naim an overkill for a streamer only in your setup?

I have that exact combo here now for review and have other AC gear on the way. I dealt with @Believe High Fidelity in Texas. FANTASTIC dealer.

Thanks! Yes, I agree its a bit overkill since I am only using it for streaming, but its from an older system I had and is doing the job. I don't think I would be able to find a better one at the price I could sell mine for.
