Debut of the GENYA DAC in Room 712

We’re pleased to announce the official debut of the new GENYA DAC at AXPONA 2025, presented in Room 712.

This model was developed to deliver much of the sonic character of our flagship Horizon DAC in a more accessible and focused design. GENYA represents a rare opportunity: following the upgrade of approximately 50 Horizon units to the Horizon 360 specification, we were left with 50 original Horizon digital engines — each one far too exceptional to retire. These engines have now been refurbished and repurposed to power what we believe is one of the finest affordable reference DACs we've ever created.

The debut system will feature:
Gershman Acoustics loudspeakers
Pass Labs amplification
Cardas Audio cables
LampizatOr Gulfstream music server as the digital source

About the GENYA DAC

GENYA is a purist DAC — streamlined in form, yet uncompromising in performance — designed to retain the musicality and emotion that defines the LampizatOr sound.

Key Features:
• Refurbished Horizon-1 digital engine
Balanced + Single-Ended outputs
Concealed tube design (6N6P standard; ECC182-compatible)
Copper capacitors, silver internal wiring
USB JL converter
DSD512 compatibility
• No volume control, display, or remote
• Finish: Charcoal black only
• Projected Pricing: $17,500 base / $21,000 GENYA Plus with upgraded supertube board

Limited Production

Production of the GENYA DAC is limited to the number of Horizon digital engines recovered. Once these are allocated, there are currently no plans for further production.

We invite you to experience GENYA firsthand at AXPONA Room 712, and discover what makes it a truly special reference offering — both in sound and value.

WOW! I bet it will obliterate any non-Lampi DAC at up to 4x the price if not higher

While the goal is higher than a 4x multiplier-yes, we are excited to shift our focus to an affordable reference. What it will lack in options it will make up for in absolute statement sound... we're talking direct Horizon DNA!

What does the supertube upgrade allow?

Very interesting, Lukasz! I look forward to hearing and seeing it!

What does the supertube upgrade allow?
I can't speak first handedly, as I too will be experiencing the DAC for the first time next week, but Lukasz advised that it is a great family of tubes for tube rolling which may be a feature some will want.

Thank you! Tube rolling seems to be in the DNA of a lot of Lampi users, so if we could get the valve specs on the standard model vs supertube option, that might enticce a few of us to buy one.

Fred and Rob, this is a cool and creative idea. I look forward to having a listen and seeing you both next week in Chicago. Lukaz is always up to something creative - well done!

Does Lukasz sleep?

One must wonder why Lampizator decided to introduce such great product in yet another soviet area custom. After the original horizon, horizon 360 and Poseidon we know you can do much more appealing exteriors.

The objective of this unit was to bring in maximum sound quality at an accessible price, without options and reducing costs where possible, without sacrificing quality.

In this instance the chassis originally designed for the Kraftwerk power station fit the bill perfectly while still looking pretty good, though admittedly not to the standard of the significantly more expensive dacs in the line
