B&W 800D DIY Speakers - you've got to see this!

I bet it cost more to build than buying an 800D but I also bet the satisfaction he got was priceless. Wow!

John thanks for the link to his project, great and fun read.
Also kudos to his boss to allow the use of the large machine tools, but everyone wins including the boss with staff morale.
Notice that such a professionally high level of DIY still cost him about $9000 (according to post #123), that excludes not only his time but critically the consideration for the machine tools-manufacturing space used that the company paid for.
Really informative read, and one I am sure that brought a smile to all our faces.

Thanks
Orb

We've contacted him to see if he would like to join us here at WBF. He hasn't yet (that I know of), but hopefully he will.

Watching this project come together brought tears to my eyes.

They are beautiful. You are a talented builder.

I have just spoken with Reference (Mario) and he will be joining us towards the end of the month. He's leaving for Austria, so he doesn't have time at the moment, but he loved the thread and wants to join up. He likes what he sees here guys.....:)
