Interesting tidbit....
Short Story: My Biological Father made the cover of Sports Illustrated!
Long Story: I've always known I was adopted. Unfortunately, a legal name change at the age of 3, thwarted my efforts of finding my Biological parents. My birth name was "Donald Wayne Roles". About 3yr ago, I was able to do DNA testing through Ancestry and 23&Me and found my cousins. Through much more research, I found I had 2 half-sisters on my Mother's side. Seems my mother was the "Party Girl" and had 4 children from 3 fathers. Unfortunately she passed in 2015.
My Father's side was "Turner". Through much more research I found cousins and finally my Father.... Curtis Morton Turner. Come to find out, he was Virginia's most famous NASCAR Driver. Even has a Museum in Roanoke, VA. Unfortunately he passed at a young age in a plane crash going to another race in 1970. Did more digging and my brother in law showed me lots of U-Tube videos of him and found out he made the cover of Sports Illustrated in 1968....
No wonder I like to drive fast!!!
