Gryphon Mephisto Solo vs Stereo

How interesting Lloyd, reading the manual on the Mephisto; it is clear they overengineered this beast. Deepest respect for manufacturers of this calibre! gryphon and Boulder.

I might be listening to a mephisto in the next few weeks Lloyd- a grey import coming into the country with one of my friends; definitely looking forward to it +++

I think in one of the threads you mentioned fuse swapping - does the mephisto have 7 fuses to replace? thats gonna send quite a few pennies down the gurgler...

Hi Plasmod3,

That is great news...look forward to hearing how you like the Mephisto. I have not found a voice and basic design construct (ie, SS vs tubes, Class A, etc) that I like better. Robert Koda K160 of course is fascinating as is Boulder you mention. As for fuses, I have never swapped any fuses, so I honestly cannot say. I believe the Mephisto manual is online on the Gryphon site, and lists the fuses and values for future replacement.
