If YouTube recordings sound good, why do commercial digital releases sound so bad.

Hard to come to any conclusion :)
Mostly there is a bit of air and resolution missing in the top end when you compare(256kbit) it with a CD. But you don't run scream out of the room because it is so sound so bad.

That's how I experience the difference between Spotify and Qobuz on my system. Subtle, but noticeable. The YouTube casting was significantly worse - there must be a better way of doing it, but I'm just going to move on, having no real interest in the subject.

Agree … However for my part I prefer your Thorens TD124 setup Viz :

Thanks, it was other tube preamp Raphael audio+ silwaweld 300b amp i call a perfect match for low money under 3k.
