nice gear with triode- mosfet output stage sounded superb 30 years ago in the stax dac. Nothing will have changed with the Aqua dac. congratulations

I had the Aqua at home for evaluation but I'm not 100% convinced... yet. Missed a bit in terms of soundstage.Will do some more searching.

Maybe I should also clarify that not everything I show pictures of has been in my possessions. Some are evaluation objects but also pictures from listening sessions with friends with the same interest in hi-fi.

If you have used the balanced outputs then the output transformers come into play. I thought what came out of it was very good i can live with that;)

I have listened to three DACs at the time, the Rockna, Aqua and Metronome, the latter simply sounds like more music not like hifi.20220802_194613.jpg

Turned the SET 845 back on. Nice mids. Highs a little recessed. Some hum. Don't hear the hum playing Miles D in high rez
