New Album & The Beginning of Basketball Season

Phil

Is this a good trade for the Celts?

What was the motivation for the Boston Celtics, Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs to make the three-team trade reported Tuesday by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski?

The move includes four players, none of whom is a starter and two of whom are currently sidelined by injuries (Denver's Bol Bol and P.J. Dozier, both headed to the Celtics). Naturally, much of the rationale for this deal is financial. By taking back two players on minimum contracts, Boston moves a step closer to avoiding the luxury tax this season.
Pretty bad, Steve. Brad is the new ML Carr and Rick Pitino combined. And this new coach thinks Tatum is a point guard.

All is not well in LaLa Land. What a joke. Pelinka delivers a team of senior citizens who don’t know how to play defense and Vogel has had a team decimated by injury and Covid. Rambis was not only a crappy player but one of the worst coaches in NBA history. However it is his wife who is best friends with Jeannie that made this possible

I feel for Vogel. I cannot imagine Fisdale as the interim coach

Blow up the team and rebuild. Get rid of Pelinka and bring in Rich Paul
Well, Jalen Rose went on the air to say the Rich Paul deserved 2 rings for masterminding the Bubble Title. :D There's some reality to that, but now he is busy with the music industry (Adele) just as LeBron is busy with the entertainment/film industry. I would have thought that Pelinka did the trading moves upon the recommendation and approval of LeBron in those days and maybe even till the Westbrook deal. The credit goes to LeBron.

Maybe he felt that Buddy Hield would be another JR Smith or Mike Miller. He would be more attracted to Westbrook's star power, MVP feather in the hat, and maybe his scowl. :D

Clippers up at the half vs Nuggets in Denver in Colorado 59-47.

Batum out for LAC tonight, Covid protocol again. How many times can he test positive for Covid???

Both the Clippers and Nuggets are decimated by injuries and Covid -

INACTIVE PLAYERS

LAC: Jay Scrubb, Kawhi Leonard, Marcus Morris Sr., Paul George, Jason Preston, Wenyen Gabriel, Nicolas Batum, Keon Johnson

DEN: JaMychal Green, Michael Porter Jr., Bryn Forbes, Jamal Murray, Vlatko Cancar

Once again the Lakers cave in the 4th as the Pacers take over the game. Pacers haven’t had a road win since Nov19 and they haven’t won at Staples since 2015

Lakers have no clue about defense. It’s all about who can make the flashiest shot.

Things do not loook good for Vogel

Final

Pacers 111-104 their 4 th road win of the year

Why losing teams lose. The Wizaerd down by one to Nets. Kyrie shoots a brick. Novidy blocks out. He gets his own rebound. Then Harvey's shot is blocked. A Wizard drives to the basket for a clear layup with the possibility of a foul. A two pointer would have one the game.instead they kick it out to a succession of missed three pointers.Lose by one.
Pathetic.

Same losing formula as the Celtics. The 3 balls kill them.

I think the toughest loss last night was the LAC in OT against the Nuggets as Jokic has his 3rd consecutive triple double and his assist to Gordon whose trey won the game

Between Jokic and Giannis, the MVP ladder still favors Giannis

Kyrie had 30 points against the Wizards

FWIW, Vogel benched Westbrook in the final 4 minutes of the game. Westbrook's poor performances along with no AD could be the straw that brings down Frank Vogel

Trade deadline is looming closer and I just can't see who the Lakers are going to trade. IMO the only player acquired as part of the Over The Hill Gang to support James has been Carmelo Anthony but with his age gas come injuries keeping him out of too many games. His outside shooting accuracy was evident last night

I don't think there's a team in their right mind who would trade for Westbrook but he has to go. He's nothing but bad Karma for the team

I am not a fan. His talent is indisputable His mental acumen is another matter.
He was right to take the shot,he just missed Unless your last name is Curry 3 point shots are 31% . Layups@ 90%. A no brainer if you are down by one with seconds left on the clock.

Jokic carried the day for the Nuggets and Gordon hit the clinching 3 to beat the Clips in overtime.

Russell Wastbrook benched?
