Two-time NBA champion Kenny Smith says that he doesn't expect Draymond Green of the Golden State Warriors to be suspended after punching teammate Jordan Poole.
It would probably better for the Lakers to just trade for both Hield and Turner but if LeBron wants Draymond, he is going to get Draymond.
It might not make the most sense long-term and it might not make a ton of sense from a scheme perspective. That being said, the Lakers have shown us that they will do whatever it takes to make LeBron James and Klutch Sports happy.

Lakers need shooting. AD, Lebron and 3 shooters is how they won in 2020. If Steven A says the Dray wants the Lakers or the Lakers want Dray, you know that's not even close to true. They have a rule at ESPN that they have to mention Lebron every 18 minutes, truth be damned! I know that sounds like an exaggeration but Kenny Mayne said basically that when he decided to leave Sports Center in 2021. I heard another former ESPN anchor/reporter on LeBatard last week saying the same thing.

Smith, who now works as an analyst on TNT’s "Inside the NBA," said that he does not think Poole and Green will have any issues playing together after the altercation.
"I won two championships with like five guys who fought," Smith told TMZ.
This phrase of 'I have won championships" being applied to many facets of the game and events of the game is actually a play of egos that has this Draymmond punching Poole as the latest incident. You think Draymond will jaw and punch Kaminga or Looney? I'd like to see that. Kenny winning championships with his teammates fighting? Maybe some slap? Not like what his coach Rudy T. got, an injury that is life threatening. Kenny winning championships with fighting teammates does that give him an level up in commenting or playing down violence in sports? Violence in practice to me is even more serious because, like Draymond, he thinks he is in a private gym and nobody can see him (fans) so he can be 'himself' a lot more. As I said, you are just lucky that you get your ways in this era. Parish and Laimbeer would have knocked off a tooth or two from your mouth.
Rudy T suffered "fractured skull, broken nose, concussion and broken jaw". And that punch by Kermit Washington does not look as powerful as the one thrown by Green who had his arms winded backwards first as added 'strength' then made the blow. Had Poole suffered those 3 injuries of Rugy T in the 70s, nobody would be saying it's all part of the game. True, the league does not patrol practice games' behavior of players. But as the Warriors top brass, you see what the punch can do. The then commissioner suspended Kermit for 60 days for that punch. Draymond is 2x lucky , that Poole didn't suffer any serious injury, or he would have been suspended for 1 year, at least by the Warriors, as the Poole injury would have been on the Warrior's practice facility. That is called Responsibility.
So we have the 2 finalists in the last season having internal problems.
Celtics suspended their coach for a whole season with indefinite terms after that, while the Warriors did not suspend but fined an undisclosed amount to their supposed 'leader'. Have to ponder a bit on these internal strifes (Affair vs Assault and Battery). Well, the main difference is still the video.
Maybe there's only so many "You can't shoot for shit" taunts Draymond can take?
Scary to think what could have happened if he'd connected with that shot at Poole.
Surely this affects some of the intangibles on the team.
May mean the difference between winning/losing a game 7.
I thought I would take another chance and watch the Lakers last night play the Cinderella Wolves who IMO will be rising force this year. The Lakers surprisingly payed all of their young players in on 10day contracts with AD ad Westbrook also playing. The Lakers lead through the fist and part of the second period and looked good. Then the game fell apart when they brought LeBron into the game and the Wolves easily took over the lead and withstood several Lakers charges only tomwin big at the end. This confirms to me the Lakers are going nowhere this year whereas I believe the Wolves will go deep in the playoffs. Gobert didn't even play last night

Looking at the top 40 salaries this year , I noticed there is no Celtics in the list. Pretty feat they did last season. Curry and Westbrook are the top 2 and Lebron close at 3rd.
Well on another quiet Friday evening I noticed the Lakers were playing my other Cinderella team this year, the Kings in Sacramneto. Again, it reinforced my position that the Lakers will be lucky to even qualify for the play in round. They simply stunk
as they lost by 47 points. It was good to see them all laughing and joking on the sidelines. I guess Westbrook was telling them about his $47M contract as they were getting slaughtered in the game. Gotta love those Lakers. They have only one mission this year and that is to carry Le Brown across his next hurdle as NBA all time scoring champion when he eclipses Kareem. Seems the only one who cares is LeBron
I think the Wolves and Kings have a lot to prove this year esp the Wolves who last year made a big splash and then the Gobert deal. Wolves have a great team. The Kings have made some key trades and they too have something to prove this year. Thinking back the last time the Kings were reasonably competitive was when the Maloof brothers owned the team. New owner and gazillionaire Vivek Ranadive has poured $$$$ into the team to make it competitive and this year they have much to prove. They walked all over the Lakers last night
