Newsflash- Wilson and Magico snubbed

Says below that the product had to be reviewed in 2012

"The voting is simple: Each of Stereophile's hardware reviewers is asked to nominate up to six components in each of the nine categories. To be a contender, a product had to have been reviewed in one of the 12 issues of Stereophile published from November 2011 through October 2012, in a full Equipment Report, a Follow-Up review, or in one of the regular columns by Art Dudley, Michael Fremer, John Marks, Kalman Rubinson, Sam Tellig, or me. "

Who cares..whatever they like is the flavor of the moment.

Surely. Any short award spanning a short period (one year) voted by a small number of people has this characteristic. Should we have the Flavor of the moment 2012 WBF Awards?

As as far as I know only the people who own the winners ;) and advertisers take them seriously.

Forget audio for the masses. If Budweiser commercials start popping up in Stereophile most here would cancel their subscription. Audiophilea is an elitist hobby for folks with too much discretionary budget and time on their hands. Get used to it.

Also, I think most 1%'ers are too busy trying to become 0.1% to have time for music / audiosystems. I would think the target market is the >1%-5% (i.e. 95-99 income percentile), which I suspect included the majority on this forum.

Truer words have never been spoken.

Aida !!

My nominee for 2012 would be the boulder 1060, i thought i knew SS pretty much but boulder took me by surprise .
After comparing Boulder and Zanden tubes now for half a year, to my surprise i can say that they are actually quite close
