I'd give Ford v Ferrari the Mixing slot, the mixers kept the energy going while maintaining intelligibility. The Editing was pretty good, but the mixing was better.

Little Women for adapted screen play

We wanted Dolomite for Costume Design. Brilliant.

Also wanted Apollo 11 to get a doc slot, lovely and beautiful film. One to watch the Blue Ray of or at the iMax.

Final voting starts tomorrow and ends Feb 4 5pm PST

'Dolemite Is My Name' was fun, and true, the costumes were fun too...along with Eddie in top shape. But it wasn't nominated for Best Costume Design, unfortunately.

'Ford v Ferrari' I think is good for Best Film Editing. I also like the editing in 'The Irishman'.

'1917' is very creative for Best Sound Editing and Mixing...I think it's in the bag here.

Unfortunately 'Apollo 11' was left out.

I cannot comment on 'Little Women' other than what I've already said; too many remakes in my film book. I look for originality, new creative entertainment...1917 was it.

* We ended up a decade with quite some diversification in moving pictures entertainment...2019.
This new decade we just started I think is going to be quite a ride ... Scorsese, Nolan, Top Gun, James Bond, etc.

Last year 'Green Book was the "good feel" winner with the Academy voters.
And 'Roma' was the Netflix art of Cinema by a maestro, Alfonso Cuarón.

This year '1917' will be the big sweeper, and 'Parasite' the fun/horror Best International Film.

Best Visual Effects? If I was an Academy voter '1917' would get my vote...ahead of 'Avengers: Endgame' (the almost $3 billion flick worldwide).

I'm looking forward to Oscar's knights and queens ...
