Hi,

Just wondering what would be suitable for :

1) Gryphon Pandora
2) Gryphon Mephisto

I see my dealer is using something from Synergistic for the Pandora. Any comments ?

How about Cardas ?

Regards,
Joe Ling

I experimented with Transparent PLMM1 , Tara labs Cobalt , lessloss signature , Nordost Valhalla 1 & Gryphon VIP Series M5
terminated with furutech carbon fibre connectors . I ended up preferring the following combinations- Tara labs cobalt on Mephisto , Transparent PLMM1 on Pandora, Gryohon VIP M5 on Tron GT Ultimate PSU , gryphon VIP M5 on MSB Diamond DAC , transparent PLMM1 on Aurender S10

Wow...I am guessing you did your homework here. Funny, although I admit I do not know some of these cables...I would not have guessed this combo. What happened when you hooked up Gryphon PCs with Gryphon amps or preamps? The reason I ask (of course) is because I have tried Transparent, Gryphon, Purist Audio and Sablon Audio. I use only 1 Gryphon VIP M5...with the Gryphon Colosseum because it happened to come with it when I got it second hand...and there is not much room underneath the unit for a Purist Audio cable. Other than this one Gryphon PC, I use PAD everywhere else (25th/Canorus/Dom) except Sub where I use Sablon Audio QGC which is stunningly good.

Thanks for any color on Gryphon PCs with Gryphon amps!

Funnily I prefer the combo I stated about . I found both tara labs & Transparent PC not as harsh as gryphon VIP M5 in my set up . I enjoyed the neutrality & the smoothness offers by the Tara labs . Anyway it could be due to the berylium tweeter of Focal Stella I m using which I need to tone down the midrange 1 notch in my system . Could also be the interaction with my room acoustic as well . Prior to buying the tara labs I was using gryphon PC on the Mephisto
In fact some do us did a shoutout btw shunyata etron PC , tara labs cobalts & Valhalla 2 , wireworld top PC in XLF & DCs Vivaldi set up . Generally we like the dynamic & transient of the Valhalla 2. 1 commented that the tara labs is smoother & not as harsh & I concurred . However my friend Tan is so taken in by nordost that he is buying a few nordost Valhalla 2 PC! considering 3 Odin ( will buy at least 1 ) & ordered the Valhalla 2 speaker cable as well. The speaker cable ( at 3x the price ) slaughtered shunyata etron top speaker cable
Shunyata owners don't hammer me . This was our unanimous opinion in my friend system

The Gryphon VIP´s works very well with both products

Thanks, gents. At the moment, and in my system, I am happy and done. its always nice to learn though from others who have similar equipment and different experiences.
