RMAF 2011 - Who's in?

Bruce,

Are you guys bring the "Getz/Gilberto" tape again? That was spooky good.

Terrific! Can't wait to here that again...probably my favorite highlight of last year. Might be fun to compare with the new 45 rpm QRP vinyl that's supposed to ship tomorrow...Hmmm

I'd like to encourage everyone to check out some of the seminars. I'm sure a lot of people will be very interested in this one:

The Future of High-Resolution Computer-Based Audio

Venue: Aspen Ampitheater
Presented By: David Robinson, Positive Feedback Online
Panel: Gus Skinas; Andreas Koch; Bruce Brown, Puget Sound Studios; David Chesky, Chesky Records / HDtracks.com; Jonathin Tinn; Danny Kaey, Apple

This seminar will explore the current state of high-resolution audio based on computer in various formats. There are many different audiophile-grade methods that are on the market now – DSD, DXD, and PCM in sampling rates ranging from 96 kHz to 192 kHz, for example – and it can be quite confusing for the music-loving audiophile to sort out all of the options. With the coming of faster bandwidths, the distribution of high-resolution audio is starting to shift from optical disc to downloadable systems. We will undoubtedly see more of this in the future...but what does this mean for the average audiophile? Our seminar's expert panel, moderated by Positive Feedback Online's Editor-in-Chief, Dr. David Robinson, will be presenting information about the alternative formats currently existing. We will explore what some of the latest technologies have to offer in terms of maximum resolution, and how they may be downloaded, stored on computer, and played back with the highest fidelity. We will have a time of Q&A for our audience, so that your questions may be addressed. Attendees will gain a sense of what they may expect as we enter this exciting new world!

I'd love to attend and be able to listen to the new Nova Physics Memory Player partnered with other stuff and meet the man behind it. Mark Porzilli has taken excellent care of my unit, upgrading it to the latest specs.

unfortunately, there is a thing called work!

I'll be there representing Harman Audio Luxury Group and giving some demonstrations on the Science of Sound behind product development and testing of loudspeakers at Harman.

Hello Sean,

Will you be giving consideration in attending the T.A.V.E. Show next year?

Got my plane and hotel finalized. I look forward to meeting all of you. :)

I just spoke to my daughter who's a Senior at the University of Boulder. She states it is cold and windy with a strong chance of snow tonight in the Denver area

I've been keeping track of the weather on my Droid (thanks to Accuweather on my smartphone :) ). It's been in the low 70s during the day dropping to 30 an night.Burrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......

Funny that I looked at Denver's weather projections for next week and it was much the same as Indiana-in the 60s during the day and in the 40s at night. I remember when I first moved to Maine in 1978 and it snowed in October. You never know...

Did you know that Denver gets more days of sunshine than any other city in the country

Yes :) Certainly more than SF and NY :)

But I'll still take sunny So Cal :)

Hmmm my Accuweather says 75/41 for Wed and 73/46 for Thurs. :)
