Would be interesting to make a shootout between K160 and CH M10 monos.

I have heard different CH Precision Amps in different setups and to me they have always sounded "Clean in a Clinically way just a small bit of Soul they sound like they look and they sounded Distant on a Swiss way."

Robert Koda on other Hand a non compromise design the test results of lab check will give us stunning results probably so also Ch Precision on the other hand "Robert Koda Sound" contains harmonic richness death quite black background millions of colors and is as Soulful i maen really Soulful and has more Tube Magic than any Tube design whit out using any Tube.

Blow are two pics just take a "look" "

Interesting thoughts Amadeus, there is a school of thought that some colour or low order distortion is agreeable as long as it doesn’t change with frequency and most of the power range

a number of highly sought after amplifiers fulfill those criteria
however small amounts of high order distortion is not pleasant

one of the factors that must be considered with the ch precision is the amount of feedback, and that means the amplifier is less a a certain sound than other amplifiers as this can be adjusted

I myself found the ch precision very impressive but I didn’t “love“ the sound

at these stratospheric prices loving the sound is important to an individual purchaser

i also find the “linkage” or legato of notes is important for maximal enjoyment, it’s very easy for a very dynamic amplifier to sound a little disjointed as it’s dynamic range is greater especially with less compressed recordings, and of course the “handshake” between amplifier and speakers which is variable with the ch precision but an important part of the whole structure of reproduction

Congratulations Amadeus. I had the pleasure of owning the Koda K15EX preamp. Can only imagine how soulful the K160s will sound.

What preamp will you be using?
