I hereby officially withdraw from the record my statement that with the external microphone the tonal balance of the videos of my room is representative of the tonal balance heard actually in the room.

Then in your future videos where you interview members of the industry or hobbyist will you omit in the presentation a demonstration of the system playing music? Or, will you include a demonstration of how the system sounds because some in the audience find value in system videos?

No; you're welcome to spare us the repetition. But if you aren't able to spare us the repetition I would prefer it is not on my system thread.

I still feel
Ron’s videos or most well done videos are good enough to show tone and timbre
I think the weak link no one is commenting on his replay of his videos.
phone videos played back on on a phone don’t come close to what’s there. now playback on a good headphones even blue tooth from your phone is much better. next up is play the digital file
To a good headphone amd and headphone this is very close
take note I left out a system with speakers. this gets complex as now what we have adds to this problem

yes I don’t watch his talks. If he starts playing their system I will. Recently he did one talk where at the end there were sound bites from pictures at an exhibition that were quite promising. Don’t remember which talk that was now. Wish he had done more. Instead he chose to random takes of his system mostly playing poor recordings and poor passages of music, apart from that Van Cliburn emperor which sounded really good and then he never played it again to show any changes lol

Ron’s video interviews are excellent you should take the time to watch. Very informative
your videos are excellent so Ron’s are not at your level but still I enjoy them. you need to consider some are truly against any videos so best to ignore them lol.
Ron really knows what he likes and how it sounds in real music settings. Ron also admits his faults in honesty a very rare occurrence in audio.

So what changed?

My realization of the use to which they are being put.

My post which you excerpted continued: "While I think the tonal balance representativeness may be directionally correct it still does not sound like what I and everyone else hears in the room. It's definitely not accurate enough or representative enough to base upon it the various speculations about cable capacitance and acoustic room treatments and high frequency energy being discussed from afar by people who have never listened to music in the room."

I will continue to do what I have done in the past, which is to video record the system playing music, as I think it is fun background music to have the system playing music. My interviews which have included systems playing music were not intended to function seriously as a "demonstration of how the system sounds."

So you thought your videos were sufficiently representative of your system's sound to post them, but because of the remarks of others you changed your mind? ... okay.

You could try turning off stereo recording to improve the sound:

To turn off stereo recording, go to Settings

> Camera, then turn off Record Stereo Sound

I want to recognize Brad (morricab) for insisting correctly that less than 100 watt amplifiers can drive the Pendragon panels.
