You could try turning off stereo recording to improve the sound:
To turn off stereo recording, go to Settings> Camera, then turn off Record Stereo Sound
didn’t know this, will check if this improves

I want to recognize Brad (morricab) for insisting correctly that less than 100 watt amplifiers can drive the Pendragon panels.
Well...there is that too! So, there were kind of layers to my seemingly simple response...when I do fully active systems I either use the same amp brand/model on all drivers or at least the same type of amp. On my fully active DIY ribbon hybrid system (using a shorter BG driver than the one in Ron's system) I used KR Audio VA350i amps on it with an Accuphase F25 active crossover set at 300Hz.Some people think that if you change amplifier types for different parts of the speaker, it causes problems so I didn’t know you were joking
in my headset it sounds as if you have too long reverb time in the room.....kind of hollow echo effectEva Cassidy "Fields of Gold"

did you ever measure reverb time at different frequencies
otherwise smooth and clean will good tonal balance
from which album was this?
this one of my favorites for bass reinforcement yamaha p3500s. adjustable 12db xover low damping factor. sounds like a good tube. very musical. Older models like the Pc 2002 are the best money can buy.Well...there is that too! In my current Horn DIY speaker, I use an Ayon Spark mkI on the midbass driver (loaded in a TQWT back horn) and a pair of 300B monos on the horn tweeter with an Accuphase F15L active crossover at 800Hz. Both amps are SET. I will be replacing the 300B monos with the Silvercore Silberglut 2A3 amp (most likely) on the horn and then I will compare the Ayon and 300B monos to see what works best on the midbass once the tweeter amp is changed.
I have played with SS and Class D amps on the bass drivers of my systems but for me, where the bass driver goes well up into the mids, the signature shift from SS or Class D to SET is too obvious and destroys the coherence of the sound. Using something like that from 80Hz and below might be fine (I have an old Mirage servo sub that worked well with my Reference 3A speakers but doesn't blend well with horn loaded bass) but if you are going up into the midrange then I would rather trade a bit of punch and slam in the bass for a harmonious midrange.
maybe a tad less on second, but still to much for my tasteOn both videos?
if you take 2 pieces of woodblock and clank together you´ll hear the echo
What recording from eva cassidy, limited hot records, pallas abbey road.Eva Cassidy "Fields of Gold"
but this is of no importance as long as the midrange reverb time is way too longThe video on top sounds harder, clearer, and I can hear more how she is singing with more fluctuation in the voice.
The video at the bottom not have the hardness and no stand out thing, balanced, but keeping out info
The original recording actually has a quite long reverb timebut this is of no importance as long as the midrange reverb time is way too long
The Jadis is quite a bit softer and warmer sounding. Is this still with KT90s or do you have EL34s in there now? If not, then EL34s will likely push it even further in the warmer/softer direction...particularly something like Mullards. KT90s are not really known for being soft and cuddly tubes.Eva Cassidy "Fields of Gold"
I just played Live at Blues Alley and it´s nothing near that to explain the echoThe original recording actually has a quite long reverb time

Not saying Ron's system doesn't have the issues you describe but I think a lot of it is baked into the recording.
ok, but the video I posted does have quite a bit of echo. Different versions of the song perhaps?I just played Live at Blues Alley and it´s nothing near that to explain the echo
45 rpm issue on Micro Seiki DDX1500, The Groovemaster with VTA lifter and Rowland Complement
I still can hear a basically untreated bare surface large room...ok, but the video I posted does have quite a bit of echo. Different versions of the song perhaps?
Needs randomly strewn planksI still can hear a basically untreated bare surface large room...
It shouldn’t really explain the effect that Leif is describing ... however are we not comparing a live recording with a studio recording here, probably media also ?ok, but the video I posted does have quite a bit of echo. Different versions of the song perhaps?
