No servos, separate active crossover with analog room correction options and phase adjustments, same amplifiers as main towers, lightning fast and very, very deep bass when on recording. If the bass woofers are in a sealed cabinet and running servos , good luck and may the power of Zeus be with you ..

so 1/2 12ax7 drives 45 directly without cap or IT to 45 then?Ditch the grid stoppers and interstage and run direct coupled.
from my dac it’s Khozmo vc with 1 z-foil/amtrans to 1/2 12ax7 direct to 45 to electraprint partial silver opt. Doesn’t get much more direct than that.![]()
Ok. I don't why but accept your statementMy ferrit bead experience is terrible sound

I bought a pair of FW SIT-1 to test purity in ss vs tubes, but they went on to Santiago de Compostela in Spain
close but no cigar....
Pass DIY has a variety of single ended transistor amp designs based on Tokin or Sony VFETs. I think the single ended Sony 2SK60 version that I built sounds a bit better than the SIT 1 or 2 that I heard many times at shows. The radar SIT in the SIT 1/2 sounds very good indeed, but a tad on the dry side, whereas the old Sony VFET is liquid and analog sounding by comparison. It's the first transistor amp that I think could knock the fleas off their pedestal, mainly because it also has intensity and attack (strings and brass) by comparison. The fleas sound beautiful, but tend to be a bit more theoretical on intense transients.I was going to do the same thing with a pair of SIT-1s for back up for my Lamm ML2s. I never found a pair for sale and then bought a spare pair of ML2s. It would’ve been an interesting comparison. My Pass Aleph3 is close but no cigar….

Get some high sensitivity speakers and then compare again your VFET to your flea amp. Might not. be such a close competition.Pass DIY has a variety of single ended transistor amp designs based on Tokin or Sony VFETs. Are you sure it's not something else?
Well, whatever you may think of it, my brief one-sentence statement has by now elicited quite a few positive responses ("likes", you can go back and check). It must have hit a nerve among posters, also among some who usually do not comment on the issue but are still annoyed by it.
Some of the system threads, like Ron’s and both of mine have plenty of videos. No one seems to think those are a problem.
Except that Ron himself thinks that system videos are a problem, because they give no adequate representation of the sound in the room to someone who has never heard it in person. As he would say, they generate "more heat than light".
fair enough, but he posts videos of his system because people request them and he obliges, which I respect and appreciate. If he thought videos were ruining his forum, I do not think he would purposefully post videos of his system on his system thread. And I do not think that he feels his system videos on his system thread are ruining his thread, but I might be mistaken.
He did push back against videos on this present thread (p. 4).
Personally, I don’t think system videos are ruining WBF. Some of the discussions and tone are certainly not helpful but I put that on the members, not on the videos themselves.
Yes he did, but unless they are of the ten ranked systems, they’re a bit off topic. And pushing back against videos here is a far cry from claiming that videos are ruining WBF.
My suspicion is that the owners welcome videos here because they provide content and drive eyeballs and they are a growing presence in the industry for both marketing and discussions.
They are used privately as tools and for sharing. Personally, I don’t think system videos are ruining WBF. Some of the discussions and tone are certainly not helpful but I put that on the members, not on the videos themselves.
