Since I don't use as many rock examples as classical, I can accept that. Could you give me an example so I'll understand better?

The latter is very good. A friend of mine has purchased one for his Micro Seiki 8000 turntable recently.

The passive vacuum platter sounds like a complete PITA that VPI would dream up, not something that adds 38,000 Euro to the price and ease of use.
Why was there no comparison between non vacuum and vacuum sound of the SAT?
