My speaker (not a standard product) is said to have an efficiency of around 98 db. However, it only has 3 ohms.

I'm actually well equipped with a hybrid amp, but I'd like to give free rein to my thoughts - without really looking ....

Are there any wonderful sounding amps with nominally little power (under 20 watts) that can drive something like this? What about 2A3 PP, for example?

Thanks! But my question was about which low power tube amp can drive a 3 Ohm speaker.

An answer to this question presupposes that you have listened to something like this - i.e. 3 Ohm speakers - with the proposed amp.

I don't think any vacuum tube amp (of any topology) loves driving a 3 ohm load, but these amplifiers both have 4 ohm output transformer taps. The SW1X options can be custom wound to 3 ohms if you prefer.

To get the best from a slightly higher power 2A3, I would recommend a parallel design. This will give you about 8 watts depending on the design and maintain the single power need sound. Should be more than enough for your speakers. My 2 cents.

Single ended sound (sorry)

We make a low power tube amp that can drive that load. It makes 5 Watts/channel.
