Seismion - new active isolation platform from Germany

My dealer kindly dropped off another Seismion Reactio 2 active isolation platform for me to try underneath my turntable.

Initial listening has been encouraging, but aesthetically, I can't decide between turntable directly on Seismion platform, or Seismion + Taiko Audio Daiza panzerholz.

Any thoughts please?
Can you hear a sonic difference? For matters of helping with air feedback I would imagine TT right on Seismion would perform better … but don’t know for sure . Jon /Marcus any thoughts?

I finally bought a 400mm x 500mm Seismion Reactio2 active vibration isolator, and I love the results.

Initially, there was a concerning evisceration of bass fundamentals essential for anchoring a stable foundation for music, but I quickly realized that it was part of the settling process which takes at least a few hours to complete. Thereafter, the truncation of the undesirable feedback loop (both airborne and structural) between the speakers and the DAC allowed my system to better resolve bass signals more discretely.

For my new basement listening room where most of my components will be placed on the ground between the two loudspeakers, the Reactio2 will no doubt be absolutely essential. I will for sure be buying a lot more of these!

The “Transport Lock” section on page 7 of the Reactio2’s owners' manual is unclear to me. Wished Seismion could restate the paragraph using bullet points, or sequential progressions "1), 2), 3), ...".

Are there any owners of the Reactio2 familiar with this function who can explain this better than what's provided? I'll need to check it in as baggage on my next flight, and I want to ensure that the unit won't be damaged in transit.

I'll also be sending them an email, and sharing the answers.

Dear XCop, thank you for posting the diagram from page 6 of the Reactio2's user manual. The problem still persists, as there is a discrepancy between the diagram, and the following sentence:

"...first take off all equipment placed on the isolator. Then turn the isolator off and afterwards on, by shortly pushing TWO TIMES the status button. Finally, long press the status button to activate the leveling."

Huh?

Nowhere in the diagram does it show what happens when (starting from the green isolation ON position) the status button is short-pressed twice, followed by a long press.

Something is still wrong with the way the paragraph is written on page 7. I've read it multiple times, but it simply does not jive with the diagram.

John, you don't need to worry about the manual.

If you want to lock the isolator, just turn it off by a long press to the power button. After a few seconds, you will notice the mechanism closing down and the platform lowers to a lock position.

To de-activate the lock, just press the power button again. Simple enough.

Other active isolation platforms like Herzan and Accurion have similar operation.

TLi, your instructions make perfect sense, as they're consistent with the diagram/flowchart. Starting from both the off (red) or on (green) position, one long press will result in the "Locking and Isolation Off" mode.

Why doesn't Seismion just say so? LOL!
