Helmut Thiele, with nearly 30 years experience in designing his own turntables as well as working together with other brands, has just teamed up with company Seismion, to bring out a new active isolation base ADB01. While the design comes from Thiele, Seismion contributes the active isolation components, known from their Reactio and Reactio plus bases.
This active isolation base is equipped with 8 pairs of highly sensitive accelerometers and actuators and an all-linear electronics, to provide excellent isolation performance starting just above 1 Hz. In contrast to any passive isolation base, the active isolator also provides a stabilizing effect, which also to counterforce any disturbance by the turntable itself.
The design is suited to perfectly fit to the Thiele TT01 turntable. Below there are a few photos (some of them are from prototype phase and not final).
Helmut will show the TT01 together with the ADB01 at the AXPONA this week in Chicago. This is certainly a great opportunity to experience this new system first hand.
