Siltech Cables

Although I cannot read it, apparently the Siltech mastercrown cables were also reviewed by Lincoln Cheng of Audiotechnique. It is clear though that he was seriously impressed:

If you right click and auto-translate, it should work quite well. Yes, it is a rave review.

Thanks Lloyd, it is indeed a rave review.

Interesting to read that one of the reviewers concluded that the full potential of the - in total four: two tweeters and two midrange - diamond drivers in the TIDAL Akira transducers was for the first time completely revealed. Imagine what would happen if the mastercrown cables are being combined with the - in total six - diamond drivers in the TIDAL La Assoluta loudspeakers (including the four largest diamond midrange drivers in the world).

That's all you! BTW, notice how the review not only utilizes Tidal but also Wadax and tubed amplification...sounds like you could be going to a full suite of Master Ref!!!

Yes I know that Lincoln Cheng (rightly so) is very fond of his (i) Tidal Akira loudspeakers and their four diamond drivers, (ii) the Audio Note UK tube amplifiers and (iii) the Wadax reference server and reference dac. While I am very happy with my (i) Tidal La Assoluta loudspeakers and their six diamond drivers, (ii) the Audio Note Japan / Kondo valve amplifiers and (iii) the Wadax reference server, Wadax reference dac and Wadax reference PSU (including three Akasa dc cables). So when the Siltech mastercrown cables ‘are doing wonders’ in Lincoln’s audio set up (and apparently they do) they will very likely do the same in my audio system. But what about this damn ‘over the top’ pricing …

2x the cost of Triple Crown...and supposedly a greater leap forward than 2 levels down up to Triple Crown...

Hi Jfrech, congrats. Could you share why you like the Siltech power cords compared to your Transparent ones?
Hi let me hold off on this if you don't mind. When I tried them I tried 1 MC power on the preamp, 1 MC interconnect from dac to pre, and 1 MC speaker. I did most of my audition on the speaker cable and only had all cables for less than 2 days before they had to go to their next stop. I'll be able to do a serious power cord compare when mine arrive.

Suffice to say I know the answer ;-), but let me do more listening please and I'll post.

Siltech always sounds bold first days.
They need a good month of burn in time.

Too much changes. Just my opinion.
My order would be listening first PC, second IC and last SC.
Each one independent from each other.

2 of the of the power cords are for mono amps...these are the two mastercrowns. And yes, one thing at a time, I suspect the double crown arrives first in a 2 weeks, then the mastercrowns late Jan/early feb or so...totally agree with ya'll on breaking...suspect these take a while. The double crown ethernet took a full week at 24x7 but still making small changes 3 weeks in....

Hi there, I currently run several Siltech cables:
- 770L as speaker cables
- 550i between phone pre-amp and integrated amp
- SPX-800 power cable that goes from the wall to Wireworld Matrix 2 powerstrip
- Ruby Hill 2 power cable connected to Boulder 866
- Single Crown phono between turntable and phono pre-amp
- Wireworld silver electra powers phono pre-amp

I’ve read somewhere in this thread that Ruby Hill shouldn’t really be used on this amp and Ruby Mountain would be preferred.

Is that an issue to use Ruby Hill on Boulder?
Should I source Ruby Mountain or the new Ruby Crown instead?
How do they compare?

I finally managed to listen to two Siltech Triple crown pc’s in my system last weekend. I connected them to my Wadax reference dac (with its two PSU’s). For those who are interested: please see my short and preliminary comments in the Tidal La Assoluta thread. I really liked the TC pc’s: they are very good. However, I am not sure yet if I will opt for the TC pc’s. Hope to be able to compare three TC pc’s to three pc’s of another (high quality) cable manufacturer at the end of this month or in the beginning of next February.

Because I do not speak the Chinese language I cannot understand the comments in the attached link. However, there are some (tiny) musical fragments of Lincoln Cheng’s audio system - inter alia Tidal Akira loudspeakers, Audio Note UK amplification, Wadax reference dac and various Siltech Mastercrown cables - in this video and therefore I include the link:

Is it possibly for you to share your (additional) experiences with the Siltech MC pc’s? And how does the Siltech DC pc compares to the Silrech DC pc in your set up?

I would like very much to test a Triple Crown powercord in my set-up. Now I have full loom Valhalla 2 (4 pc, 2 pairs xlr and 1 pair speaker) with power distributor Nordost QB8 mk2. They are very good and I am very happy but it always remain a curiosity. I would like to try from wall to power distributor.
Ps: I didn't change signature yet. Siltech in the signaure all sold.

Hi the Siltech MC's, on my amps, are transformational. More power, more resolution, a delicate warmth, more spacious, yet more focused. It's like I upgraded the amps. My first double crown should arrive in a week or so...

It seems you fell in love with the Siltech MC’s :).

At this ultra high end level cables are imho no accessories anymore but key components, maybe just as important as some of our other audio components.

Yes, well said !
