Taiko Audio Daiza platforms.

Emile, isn't the Telegartner an industrial device? Ie designed to go in noisy environments and thus built to withstand pollution? And yet in a domestic setting, it benefits from Daiza vibration management. Fascinating.

Yes it is, I was quite surprised by the difference.

Emile, it just proves audiophiles hear "better" than North Sea oil riggers and deep sea divers Lol.

Interestingly, Panzerholz was mentioned in this review too for placement of M12 Gold Switch

Hi Emile,

I've read that Daizas should be used on a flat surface.
I have a very basic steel rack with MDF shelves.
They are supported in the corners by 4 small upside down spikes which can be adjusted to level the shelves.
Have you any customers with similar racks that have successfully used Daizas to replace their shelves?

Hi G,

There are 2 options, place the Daizas on top of your MDF shelves or replace the shelves entirely but that would involve making custom Daizas for which we'd need the exact footer locations. This has indeed been done succesfully before.

Request to make normal MDF shelves for installing DAIZAs~!!

I also use audio rack not to install DAIZAs.

But Emile is giving the service for making MDF shelves for DAIZAs.

Not expensive, I think.

MDF shelves are also good quality.

that light colored wood shelf beneath the Daiza sure appears to be a bamboo ply butcher block type shelf.....to me.

You're right I think.

Not expensive, but quality is awesome.

This is an update to my post #156

My analogue system is now back in business, complete with Daizas under my 3-chassis Aesthetix Io Eclipse.

The top two source components are sitting on Symposium Rollerblocks; the bottom four are on BDR cones (attached to the chassis).

There is still a small issue with using the BDR cones in that there needs to be a tweak under one of each set of three cones, similar, but not as drastic (thick) as, the faucet washer I mentioned before.

There is also some minor damping added on top of the components:

The stock Herbie's damping disc on the left (without the rubber pad) and my modified version on the right. I am using one or both as required.

The Daizas are addictive. The Eclipse conversion is phenomenal!
Next step: tube rolling.

Best,
Don

How does Bamboo ply compare to Daiza?

Seems to have some of the characteristics of Panzeholz but I appreciate it hasn't been "tuned" with the cut-outs and foam inserts.

Already ordered one Daiza for the pre amp. Before ordering, local dealer gave a good demonstration how well Daiza work with pre amp. Now the pre amp has already connected with one A2 ground box. Eager to know the improvement when Daiza and ground box work together.

That is a good question, one I would like to hear an answer on as well.

From what I've read bamboo is a grass not a wood and it's fibers are different.

However like MDF is softwood with glue and binders mixed in, bamboo (fiber strand) products are also glued or bound together.

The difference is that bamboo is much harder and requires less resin than MDF and therefore has less energy dampening or suck-out caused by resin/glues.

I did read one thing that I cannot seem to find a second time that claimed bamboo shelves bend over time, so they may be strong and stiff but sag under load. Not sure this is true as I could not find it a second time.

I should note that plywood layers are also glued together but PanzerWood is phenolic resin impregnated/bound.

If you have something solid to use in stead of the Bespoke felt disc footers it should be a nice surprise.
Take the advice. Find out some spare graphite bricks from a local brand. Position 1 front 2 back. It dose a nice surprise. The separation and the mid/low range clearly show where the surprises are.

Some members say "The Daizas are addictive."
Yeah, it is. Very addictive.
Few days ago, borrowed a small piece for my Plixir LPS which is used by Lumin U1mini.
Another nice surprises. The sound becomes more lively, more details and the bass becomes more attractive.
Think of a standard size to put Lumin and Plixir together on it:cool:

Emile,

You mean you can make a custom rack that is completely composed of Daizas? That would be interesting.
