The first Totaldac D1-Twelve Mk2 DAC in Hong Kong

Very intriguing!
So direct from Totaldac d1-twelve-mk2?
Can't wait.

The power supply upgrade is now available.

The live-power is a special power supply making the sound of your Totaldac DAC or streamer better again, with a feeling of live sound.
This option is available in a small box with one output, or in a DAC-size single box with 3, 4 or 5 outputs and still with a single power cord.
Some very special transformers have been custom designed in France and are made in France for very efficient noise rejection.
The umbilical output cords are included with the power supply.

Vincent,

Well done! Very nice that the multi-output units use only one power cord, saving a lot of money!
Cheers,

Hi all,
idem... more music, less power cords !

Hello Vincent,
I understand that the Totaldac Poweramp is to be debuted at the Munich Show in May.

But is it possible to tell us some basic info such as its dimensions, weight, power outputs ...etc

Thanks!

preliminary specs are:

stereo power amp
RCA inputs
big Mundorf binding posts
220mm height + feet
500mm width
410mm depth
50kg
big power supply transformer
2*150W under 8ohm
2*270W under 4ohm
2*500W under 2ohm
stable under 1ohm
1.6V sensitivity
47Kohm input impedance
no global feedback
fully discrete design
triode input and solid state output
class AB (with medium level of class A for moderate heat)
wide frequency bandwidth and low noise

What are the power output options of the power supply - both wattage and amperage? Thanks.

Hello Vincent,
Many thanks!

May buyers ask for xlr inputs?
Some of our preamps got xlr outputs only so our cables are xlr.
We don't want to attach rca-xlr connectors to the cables.

BTW will a higher model such as a mono version be launched in future?

Thank you again!

I am not sure to understand your question.

CKKeung, you would like two XLR inputs, still with unbalanced signals? I have no plan for a balanced input on the stereo amplifier.

A balanced monobloc version, maybe later but not for Munich show.

I tend to use unbalanced amplifiers for myself.

I am not sure to understand your question.
Sorry, I was assuming this was a standalone linear power supply to power your DACs and other third party devices, but I suppose they are dedicated to powering your DACs/Streamers only.

Hello Vincent,
Yes, I know the stereo version is not a full balanced circuit.
But there are often issues connecting full-balanced preamps to single-end poweramps with xlr cables +converters.
Not uncommon to get hum or compromised sonic performance.
Therefore a xlr input on your poweramp with the proper internal connection will be most welcomed by full-balanced preamp owners.

I look forward to the coming full-balanced monoblock version very much!

Thanks a lot!

Yes indeed these are two different topics.
The power amplifier is made of one box, including its big transformer.

This amplifier with RCA inputs is already more silent than many balanced amplifiers.
I can even use it on my 105dB horn system with complete silence at the listening point:

Beautiful

Hi Vincent,

Is it too early to enquire about the retail price of your new amplifier?

Is the "round hole" cooling slot arrangement intentional for improved shielding?

Hi,
The holes on the lid are for shielding, but also cooling and with a drawing.
The AMP-1 amplifier is expected around 18000euros incl VAT in Europe.
