Very cautious about this one.
The original is one of my all times favs, I do not expect this to win out but I will see it.

I don't like the original either. Seven samurai is one of my favorite films. Actually Hollywood always struggled to make good westerns. Sergei Leone was head and shoulders above some of those so called legendary western films from Hollywood. The only oldie western from Hollywood I like is how the west was won

Love the original its awesome BUT Leone is my Tarentino of Westerns, love love love them, poopy sound (quality) tracks and all.

Tarantino tried to model himself on Leone. He is on rebooted saying that good bad ugly is the best directed film ever.
