i get that retirement and vacations can be very similar; but even with those for most of us the time of day would matter.

i'm a big sports fan, and that is going on every day at certain times, there would be a thought of traveling, there would be the occasional restaurant, or seeing friends and family.

all that is off the table right now. so yes; retired folks already live part of this.......but time of day is less relevant for all of us than ever before. and most of us are not prepared to deal with it like retiring or a vacation. it's disorienting.

Having been retired for more than a decade, I normally have to look at the lower right hand side of my computer to see the date and time (it doesn't give the day of the week however.) My biological clock and circadian rhythm take over for the alarm clock. One advantage to meeting on Zoom, is that you can be in your PJ's (turn off your video camera) or just have a presentable top. You can listen to a complete Wagner Opera if you want (as long as your neighbors don't object. However, seeing the local news reporting the death of an elderly person to COVID-19 who was in her seventiess struck a dissonant chord, that is elderly and seventies.

i am a choc-aholic. if you are going to go down the chocolate road, this is what you want.

Trader Joe's, organic, 72% cacao, Belgian Dark. absolutely killer taste. $2-$3 a bar. i buy 10-20 bars at a time. it's my guilty pleasure. i have a secret stash. it's 'wife' approved. and she knows her food ingredients....we eat 100% organic.

So I got some Lilac Chocolates to try. I'd rate them above average for the type that they are (boutique chocolatier enhanced by natural flavors and some other modern less-natural approaches - not related to grocery store varieties). They aren't overblown with bad ingredients at all, the taste between pieces is a bit more distinct than something like Sees (which kinda just tastes like sugar). But I don't have an interest in repeat ordering. There are too many other chocolates I like more. (And I don't eat chocolate very frequently, just sounded fun to try something another here as preferenced @Ron Resnick)

Sadly they use coffee extract in them. I thought I would come across one with a coffee taste that I would spit out. I did not. So I stayed up many more hours than intended, and feel slightly sick. I won't be the one to finish the box.

I'm retired too, but not being able to mingle and eat breakfast with friends everyday, just plain sucks. I guess I have to be thankful I am not sick. I finally have time making sure my speakers are perfectly aligned, what else is there to do, try new interconnects.

Nice selection! I see both a top Bordeaux and Burgundy on the shelf, too. My college roommates gave us a bottle of '59 Lafite as our wedding present, while my grad school roommates gave us a case of '70 Latour futures (50 years ago this coming December!). My top experience with burgundies was when my wife said she wanted to get me something special with the very first paycheck received as an intern in 1973. I chose two bottles of La Tache '67, from the same region as your Vosne Romanee Les Suchots. I have a few bottles of the Latour '70 left. Good time to have one while we are sheltering in place. The vintage ports look nice too. I've had a '63 Warre, but never a '66. (Never got into Armanac's that much. Those vintage ones look very special. ) Larry

Another reason I moved closer to the Equator. That drove me nuts. The days are more balanced daylight wise here. It drove me nuts to go to bed and have it still be light out at 9:30 10:00 with light visible on the horizon at 11:00 and then again at 3:30am in the summer and not see it in the winter. I did have a skylight over my desk so I at least knew it was day but didn't make it outside most days.
I dont know how those in Alaska do it
