I have always loved this LP since it first came out including all of the cool stuff they put inside the record jacket. Even back when I was a young teenager (is there any other kind?) hearing this over a Garrard table, Grado cartridge, Lafayette integrated amp and Lafayette speakers, I knew this LP was special in terms of the sound they captured live. As my system has improved, my thoughts haven’t changed.
Recording a live concert is always difficult and for a 1970s rock record, Live at Leeds sounds fantastic and I think represents the Who at their peak. Highly recommended for those who love the Who.
