I have a Raven AC with (2) arms on the two back posts, the second arm was simple enough to add but I want to add a 3rd arm to the front right post which is above one of the (3) footers. How do you get the cap off? The cap screws/unscrews in either direction for a few turns but then stops. Do I need to break the table down completely to get the cap and footer off? Seems like it should be so simple but I obviously don't want to break my table either.

Any TW owners with 3-4 arms have any advice/insight?

Thanks,

Earl

Working with now, he told me what my issue was. Thanks.

I just received my new Raven LS and need to remove 2 of the caps as well, in order to fit two extra arms.

What was the solution to the issue @earl3090 ? My caps are not turning in any direction and, as you, I don’t want do to anything wrong when removing them.

Or anyone else who knows how to remove them?

Hi Per,

Any chance to hear what made you choose the Raven A C ? Was it by design, looks, sound or something else.. maybe a good deal on a top tier turntable? Let me hear your thoughts. With multiple arms it looks really massive and impressive. To be honest, I had not hear or seen this turntable before.

Hi Johan,

It was many things. First my Bergmann Modi only accepted 2 arms and I am planning on 3 arms and want to avoid a separate arm tower. Also, I wanted to come back to high mass TT and after owning two Ravens earlier (GT and AC-3) I checked around and found out TW Acustic made the new LS. A “compact” version pushing 60kg when all mounted, but otherwise similar to the AC, and that was all I looked for, at my budget.

It looks fantastic and massive, but thats a nice bonus ;)

Thank you for that report, really appreciate that. I’ll get back to you later on to see your progress. Good luck and happy tunes.

The top cap and front footers turn in opposite directions, I didn't know this and overscrewed the top cap. I ended having to use a heavy duty wrench to get it off. I ruined the cap but I didn't need it anymore since I was going to add a tonearm anyway. You can also reach out to Jeff Catalano of Highwater Sound in Brooklyn. I don't have the LS and don't know if the caps are the same.

Thank you. I found out how it worked on the LS, which appears to be different from yours. I had to look underneath the plinth and access two small holes next to the footer and loosen two allen wrench bolts that held the cap in place from below.
