Myles, Lance was the kingpin, not some goat. He led the way, he mislead the UCI, when people began to figure the mess out suddenly, it all was hushed up... to save the sport. Which as far as I am concerned is forever ruined. Just to type about the whole affair hurts. LA is the biggest fraud in sport. Ever.
If you want to have a " clean" world then there is a LOT to do .
First thing i would clean out is politicians not athletes.
Dope was in cycling long before lance armstrong arrived from the USA, and it highly likely still is

Not sure agree Peter Doping existed long before Lance; he and his team just took the science to the next level. How many cyclists would be affected by the telltale sign of blood doping-hepatitis?
I ve done amateur cycling when i was younger and have been a competitive hobby athlete for quit some time , its part of the cycling culture in europe , " forbidden substances "
All the guys ratting on lance , is a bit cheap as a see it , first they lift on his succes and then they throw lots of dirt on him .
If they would skip all the users in the tour the france i think the peleton woul be very small . I think its also a france versus USA thing , they just couldnt stand an american winning 7 times .
You have to be joking? It is not always the USA vs the rest.
Remember it was the USADA that did the investigation. The UCI did absolutely nothing. They were happy to leave Lance from the USA as the 7 times champ. Only when the USADA gave them no choice, the UCI banned Armstrong.
Armstrong lead the most sophisticated cheating ever known in sport.

In my eyes he is still a winner, what do you think his competition did , eat bananas ??
There have been more dope programs with cyclists then you can count , lance is just one of them no big deal.
And those teammates accusing him afterwards , they should have stood up and refuse before , not afterwards.

We can start by adding the names of the members of the COC who helped doped Ben, ban the whole canadian Olympic team , managers trainers, everyone for 10 yrs , that would clean it up in a heart beat , instead they make the athlete the scape goat with smoke and mirrors while the real basturds get a away to dope others for more glory ..
I know I promised just to cut any responses to you off, but I just have to say that it's really apparent that you just act as a troll in these forums because you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.
When Ben Johnson was banned, so was his coach, Charlie Francis (for life) and the physicians that doped him up.

This is VERY true. I listened to Charlie Francis and he knew what he was doing. He also told the government inquiry everything about the training and doping program -- spelled it out 100%. I admired that. He was banned for life. Should he have been? Probably not for life, no. He, more than Ben, was the scapegoat. Ben was actually reinstated and, if memory serves me correctly, ran once terribly, ran again not so terribly but failed another drug test and that was that.
-- Good sport, the coach, to come clean and being honest about it.
...But he still was involved in 'bad' stuff. ...Should he was given a second chance?
...In Canada (in particular in Quebec), no! ...But in the USA, most probably as it is the norm in many sectors.
From a pointview of true justice? ...I'm on the American side; the real 'rehabilitation'.
...And if you're a recidivist, you're out, for good!
Another ex team mate of lance speaks ,although with a bit different opinion , Chris Horner.
It looks to me that lance being the protected leader of the team had a lot off very jealous teammembers to begin with :
