Moving on , Hans these are the songs I love
1. Hallelujah , Kurt Nilsen, my favourite version
2. Tears of a clown by Nnenna Freelon - live , such emotion
3. Era- The Mass . The Mass
4. Era -The Mass . Don't you forget . Enjoy the whole album
5. Van Cliburn , Tchaikovsky piano concerto no 1
Allegro non troppo e molto maestro . Long winded title with a lengthy presentation of 20.50min but what a piano piece

Good to hear - health comes first ;)

Yes the new MPP was improved alot :) not that is was needed, but we have managed to ship about 5 pcs of RP-101's with filter components that failed over time and created bad hum, think the last one to be fixed is in your area..

I didn't know you were a hip-hopper Lloyd ;)

;) My collection (just approaching 2000 CDs?) is 1/3rd classical, 1/4th jazz/blues, 1/5th deep house/hip hop/rap, and the rest (approx. <25%) a mix of rock/U2/Floyd/Cowboy Junkies, etc...and a bit of 'other/Soundtracks/international'...Cubano, Middle Eastern, Tango, Celtic Harp, Spanish guitar, etc...

Regardless of what I answer - I am sure you will continue along the line you have started - so let me just state this - an amp which does not get below 55degrees C in operation, with the size of heatsinks we use - will not be an AB amplifier.

I didn't start this line I merely replied to someone pretending to have information directly from Vitus, you should direct this to him.

We build class A amplifiers - but for me it is pointless to continue debating it - and again a very simple reason why we will be removing our specs. We build products for the love of music - not in a battle of meaning less specs which tells absolutely nothing about how the product sounds.

So with respect - I will rest my case and not respond to your meaningless questions.

I would not ask meaningless questions if you'd not be so evasive and simply answer if the Class A bias mentioned in your literature has any relevance to the operation of this amp or not. I haven't seen the size of your fins nor taken the temperature of your amps, a simple yes or no would suffice.

Respectfully, david

Good of you to write in Hans Ole Vitus , I hope your explanation suffices to those consumed by paper specs . Terms like 'gullibility ' and other accusations are harsh , especially since they come from a person with industry affiliations , outright claims of a con job without substantial evidence are in bad taste .

Jazzhead, there was plenty of misinformation here and in other threads for several days so don't blame anyone for responding to bogus claims.

Why is questioning motives bad taste, wether I'm in the industry or not? As it turns out I wasn't off the mark and the industry isn't particularly PC. This is also an accusation within the industry do you find it harsh or in bad taste too? Because I don't.

Plenty highly regarded manufactures claim they operate in "pure" class A - but never become HOT.

Welcome to the forum Vitus. It is always great to get the inside story. Loved your line about power :).

Hi Amir,

Thanks - I normally stay far away from forums - as subjects very quickly turns ugly instead of being about what it should be about.
But have to say I always liked interacting - this is not just a business to me - it's a hobby that turned into a business, but it never stopped being a hobby :)

This thread is about the Vitus amplifier. Please keep comments relevant to the discussion or they will be deleted. Continued problems will result in forum disciplinary action for involved parties.

I'm not a hip hop guy myself but don't knock the Dogg. At a fellow WBF member's beautiful house in Nevada, Rodney (Holli88) put on some Snoop. Snoop is high up on production values and not just the herbs. LOL. It was plain good music with the bonus of great sound. :)

Yes, that is why I use it as a test CD...surprisingly, Snoop's voice comes across as far more rounded and natural than I was originally expecting many years ago when I first heard it on a nice system. Quite cool to hear rap that way. Imagine Snoop Dogg mastered by Analogue Productions or something...

Here is a fun and interesting interview from Peter Breuninger with Hans Ole discussing the new VA MP-S201 stereo amp. I particularly resonate with Hans description of their goal to achieve organic sound with all their products.

You're totally right...that was a lot of fun to watch! Thanks for posting it.

YW LL21. That's pretty much how Hans is in real life, only he can get a bit crazy and is quite funny after a pint or two! Aside from his prodigious talent and audio gifts to the world, he is essentially dte & one of the good guys in high end audio.
